Fortnite Season 6 adds pets and floating islands

Fortnite is on a roll. Yesterday, Sony announced that it was opening up cross-play with Xbox One and other platforms, and today the game's Season 6 started. According to the developer, the new content comes with a new "Battle Pass" with a hundred levels and even more rewards. Lastly, the biggest addition has to be pets.

Season 6 seems to be focused on Halloween because it features a lot of sinister items. For example, Epic Games added a mysterious "Shadow Stone" consumable. The team also updated the map to include floating islands and a terrifying castle.

Fortnite is a free-to-play third-person shooter with building mechanics and a PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds-like battle royale mode. The experience also features a campaign which needs to be purchased separately.
