Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be enhanced for Xbox One X

However, a visual upgrade just doesn't cut it because even to this day, the game has matchmaking issues as well as frame rate problems when you're playing in co-op mode. Many gamers assumed that the studio had forgotten about the title because we hadn't heard about it for so long. It's as if they were ignoring all the complaints. Luckily 343 Industries is aware of the problems and has promised comprehensive fixes alongside the Xbox One X upgrade. How long will you have to wait for this do you ask? It'll be a while because these changes are coming in 2018.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was quite a big deal when it came in 2014. For the first time ever, The Master Chief's entire story was available on one console. The game features a remastered Halo 2: Anniversary, along with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. You can also purchase an Halo 3: ODST add-on for the title if you like. Many owners who bought the game during the launch period got it for free. If you love Halo, or love first-person shooters in general, this this is the definitive collection to own. Plus, the Xbox One X upgrades aren't bad either!

  • That's pretty awesome!
  • Will prob replay, I'm a fan!!!
  • Agreed. That will definitely be something i will buy, when i get that One X
  • Most of the Xbox one x enhanced games are on the game pass. Including all the halos and gears of wars so you could save some money by just subscribing to that if you don't have them already.
  • That's a good idea. I remember my son telling me something about that.
  • My theory: Microsoft studios are busy with the Xbox one X enhancements this year so not much new games. Microsoft is to ensure enough content for Xbox one X so the console sell well. So, the current Xbox one owners can just but the console but don't have to pay for games they already paid for.
This year for the console and next year for New games.
  • I'd have to agree with you on that even though I would have liked to see Halo 6 at launch
  • They knew this console was coming for quite some time. Let's face it, MS have probably cut massively in developing new games. At this stage is mostly about cheaper timed deals with indie studios and the usual sequels (Forza, gears, halo) packed with microtransaction, DLCs, loot box...
  • Probably is the word here so let's not guess it.
  • I'll wonder again, "When for PC?"  :-(
  • So the right time for Halo 3 anniversary I guess?
They did a fantastic job with the Halo 2 campaign. Looks nice but still like Halo 2. Halo 1 looks too different in the anniversary edition.
  • I'm more excited about the game being FIXED rather than enhanced. Still good news all round though.
  • I wish you create "Halo 1 BTB" mode. Thats all I want in Halo MCC multiplayer. You all know that Halo 3 ruins the voting system in BTB because its OVERpopulated :\ Please make something, 343i.
  • Sweet, the best £10 I've ever spent this year by far lol. What makes it even better, I bought the physical copy with Game (store) points 😁 so free.
  • How about bringing back split screen gaming. I'm not going to buy 2 consoles just to multiplier game with my wife.
  • There is a limit of how much improvement you can get with more resolution while keeping relative low number of polygons and somewhat low resolution textures. Still, an updated will be appreciated.
  • Lol yeah, this is like a remaster or a remaster of a remastered game.
  • Can we please get some Halo 6 info soon!
