Microsoft promises HTC Surround NoDo update is in the works

Although the Focus, HD7, Dell Venue Pro and even Quantum have all received their NoDo updates, it looks like the HTC Surround (see review) is still lagging behind, much to the frustration of users.

Good news though as Microsoft says they are "scheduling" updates for the Surround's February and March updates. Translation? You should have it within in the next 10 days.

HTC also tends to have a thing for delivering firmware updates as well, so we'll be expecting a few other "fixes" around the same time.

  • Good news is good!
  • No, not all Focus have received update yet! some nose about it WPCentral. I want my damn update!
  • Well, good for the people that held out, but for me it's too late. I already exchanged my phone. I do not want to be half a year behind on every update for some cute little speakers. It's a shame.
  • Just a tad bit of exaggeration there maybe.
  • But does it fix the freezing? The phone not sending texts? The screen not working? The inability to randomly be able to send/receive MMS messages? I don't know about anyone else, but my phone freezes constantly, normally with two minute hiccups in which the phone won't do anything for those two minutes.
  • I'm confused here. Are we talking about a patch to the NODO update or NODO itself?I'm with TELUS (CANADA) and my phone was udpated about 2 weeks ago. Oh, I should add that I have the HTC Surround.
  • I have a surround and Ive put it back in the box. when Mango comes out I'll try it again. Back on the iPhone 4. I waited as long i could. Having a Surround and ATT, you can see my frustration.
