Microsoft's Brandon Watson is using the Samsung Focus S

Oh, so now we know Brandon Watson is using the just announced Samsung Focus S, sporting an 8MP camera, 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus screen and rocking 4G connectivity. He mentioned the phone, indirectly, before but now we have evidence.

In a photo just uploaded to TwitPic, the EXIF info reveals all, as can be seen above. The SGH-i937 aka "Kapua" aka Samsung Focus S shows up in the EXIF data along with it weighing in at 8MP. (Note: we busted Bill Gates before using this method)

Congrats, Mr. Watson. Clearly your job has perks.

Thanks, @Nin_jy, for the tip!

  • *is jealous :( *
  • The photo quality on that looks freaking amazing! Samsung picked up their game!
  • jubbing...you need to add a qualifier there; "....amazing, for a phone camera!" View the picture full size, and you will see all the extra noise captured in the shot that a camera just cant handle vs a good DSLR with nice glass!Still, we generally don't walk around with our Nikon, Canon or Pentax DSLR's everyday do we!This phone looks to be rockin' it!
  • seriously .. if your a PIC or camera guy ,,,, buy a camera lol Cameras on phone are 100% designed for casual users.. lmaono one should EVER complain on a phone camera... lol...
  • I wish camera makers would stop with the MegaPixel race and give me a 3-4 MP camera with GOOD low light. You can't get an acceptable noise cell phone picture, except in sun light, so the extra resolution is just wasting space. Give me BIG CMOS pixel that suck in light. This picture also shows the lack of dynamic range, because of this.
  • In most cases the photo will be reduced in size when uploading to the web or viewing on a computer, so the noise is not that of a problem (with this image). For an 8MP camera, the photo is surprisingly sharp (no aberrations) and the colour reproduction is accurate enough. Now it is making me even more excited to see what the quality on the Sea-ray will be like. :-)
  • this is sea-ray.... tons better than crapsunghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHJlG_frlkI&feature=related
