Minecraft Pocket and Windows 10 Editions pick up Redstone enhancements and more

Mojang has released a new update to Minecraft for both the Windows 10 Edition Beta as well as the Pocket Edition. This update, version 0.14, has new features for players using Redstone to build items, as well as a new skin pack.

From Mojang:

Like previously talked about we got some nice additions for you Redstone builders and adventurers. Repeaters, maps and item frames among other things will help you in your building adventure and assist you making greater things, but be aware of the witches that may lure you into wrong paths…

The new skin pack includes Redstone-themed skins, including the Artisan and Composer. While those two are free, you'll need to pay $1.99 for the entire pack.

  • I wish they'd expand the Windows 10 Edition. It should be a Universal Application. The groundwork is already there (it supports keyboard, controller, and touch controls).
  • So still no cloud saves? I hard reset my phone to often to put any real work in a world.
  • This
  • Amen! If we can export worlds, that's kind of a workaround for now.
  • Huh. Look at that. Now they're naming Minecraft stuff after Windows Updates. Next up: "Block of Cumulative."   (...and for the downvoters out there, yes, I do know that it's the other way around.)

  • Minecraft would work great as a cross play and cross sync title :).
  • Yep. They need to bring Windows 10 Edition to Windows 10 Mobile phones, and then make it cross-compatible with the Xbox One version and upcoming HoloLens versions.
  • How can you they not have Cross saves
  • because it hasn't been done yet.
