Heads up, all you My Phone users out there. The service will be offline starting at 8 a.m. EDT Monday through sometime Tuesday morning while Microsoft upgrades the service.
From the My Phone blog:
We're expecting My Phone to play a big part in the Oct. 6 Super Duper Windows Mobile 6.5 launch day events, so an upgrade outage is not expected. Stay tuned, folks.

thanks for the heads-up on the impending outrage. Nice to know.
yeah, I got the email too, it seems they're going to put out some new features or just trying to put on more capacity to weather the storm of people who'll be signing up for the service.
I hope they'll finally fix the damn syncing conflicts i always get between outlook and myphone. Everytime i hard reset my phone, if i sync w/ myphone first, then go to outlook all my contacts are duplicated/tasks duplicated/calendar/everything. Starting to piss me off.
Argh, I still cant' get over how they placed "My" infront of yet another item. "My" stuff in XP was already enough, and now they're reintroducing "my"s... Hopefully the new features are actually useful ("When the service resumes, there will be a number of exciting new features", says the email). Remote lock, remote tracking, remote wipe, anyone?
I would love that remote wipe feature.....the otherday my girlfriend was with me and wanted to see my phone but I had some things on there I couldn't let her see. if that feature was there I would of given her the phone and then go on the computer and wipe everything!!! and then say, "you broke my phone", lol.
I got the email to I guess everyone using the service should have gotten an email. For those getting the duplicate contacts, Tasks etc... after a hard reset, what I do is. I sync with outlook first to make sure everything gets transferred correctly then I go to My-Phone on my PC and delete all Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, Pictures, and Video before setting up my Sync partner ship with My-Phone. That way all that is added to my PPC is text messages and all the other items are then put back on My-Phone so they are ready for me if I have to do a hard reset when I am away from my PC.
I use MyPhone with Exchange. They did promise MyPhone/Exchange interoperability way back .... Actually there's only one thing that irks me with MyPhone -- when backing up notes/files and restoring in the field I get a bunch of weird files in My Documents, which later become a bunch of duplicate entries in OneNote.
