Phototag for Windows Phone is this week's myAppFree deal

Phototag is a Windows Phone photography app that adds an information overlay to your photos such as your current location, weather conditions and more.

Phototag is an easy way to document moments and share them with others. The Windows Phone app normally runs $.99 but for the next twenty-four hours, you can pick Phototag up for free through the myAppFree deal.

Phototag overlays can be applied to existing images in your Windows Phone Pictures Hub or to new photos captured through Phototag's in-app camera. Key features for the photography app include:

  • Six overlay themes: Place, Weather, Food, Baby, Speedometer, and Date+Time
  • Front and back camera support
  • An Option to use Exif and location data when available
  • Historical weather overlay support (subject to weather data availability)
  • Over twenty photo filter effects
  • Photos Hub and Lens integration

Each theme will have six layouts to choose from that can be edited as needed or tagged to nearby places.

Once you have created your Phototag photo, sharing options are available through Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and VK. You also have 6tag integration for uploading images to Instagram.

Phototag may not be the most feature rich Windows Phone photo app in the Store but it does a really nice job of things. It is an easy, quick way to customize your photos with the overlays and share them with friends. At last check, Phototag is pulling down a 4.5 star rating in the Windows Phone Store, a rating we will not disagree with.

Phototag normally runs $.99 with a free trial available over in the Windows Phone Store. However, for the next twenty-four hours you can pick up Phototag free through the myAppFree Deal. It is an easy way to save a buck.

  • It's Premium Pool Pro here.
  • Give the app a little while to update.
  • God, my back hurts.
  • Sweet, the developer also does audio cloud, that's a great app too
  • Update your AUDIOCLOUD APP to be more modern. It still has the ugly huge WP7 UI design. (HUGE FONT TAKING UP 35% of the screen)
  • I like this UI
  • If you feel that strongly and believe you can do better then why not make your own app then? :P.
  • Can I give my opinion without someone getting butt hurt over it? Its a huge font taking up unnecessary space just like the Paypal app.
  • Butt hurt sounds so.. gay. Stop, it's insulting to the LGBT community.... Mother fuckers... That's what you should say instead.
  • Well it's off topic and kind of harshly said about someone's hard work.
  • He never said he could do better? He simply stated that the current UI blows, which it in fact does. Just because you can't do better doesn't mean you can't criticize.
  • Prick Smits. :P
  • Ironically you're the prick right now hahahaha
  • IKR. ;)
  • Great.. Layouts..!
  • Last free app was instaweather pro. Same concept. Haven't used either but I did download it.
  • yep, seems the same. I used Instaweather just this past weekend, pretty easy & simple. this may have more overlay options so probably will download & try.
  • Agree, yet options are better than none. Why do you think the word dic is in dictatorship?
  • Hmmm... Iap full version
  • Been asking for that at The Nipple Palace.
  • Just received an update for the calendar?? Any ideas what the update was for?
  • System calendar app??
  • Bing it.
  • Have this already, really nice app
  • Downloading now and will try it out on my upcoming ski trip to Utah!
  • Momento+ > InstaWeather Pro > Phototag. Nice app anyway. =)
  • Good app but momento+ has better aesthetics but terrible GPS function
