Retailer lists Xperia X2 release as early January

Expansys, everybody's favorite UK importer/exporter, has the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 listed on its site for the low, low price of 604 British pounds, or right about $1,000 U.S. That's only hundred more than the original X1 initially went for when it trickled out in its U.S. release, so you could do worse, we guess. Also listed is an "expected release date" of Jan. 11, 2010. This is an Xperia, after all, so we'll believe it when we see it.

SE has really let the consumer down. The x1 was a disaster of a phone with the eons of delays, and the x2 is nothing more than a slightly modded x1 with a better camera stapled to it. If they had just upgraded the processor than the phone would be somewhat of a competitor at that price, but lacking that makes this phone nothing short of overpriced. Sorry SE, better luck next time.
