The Sims 4's new Cats & Dogs expansion lets you create your perfect pet

EA has launched Cats & Dogs, a pet-centric expansion for The Sims 4 on PC. Available now on EA's Origin storefront for PC, the expansion lets players customize their four-legged companions in practically every way, including with outfits and accessories.

The highlight of Cats & Dogs, EA says, is the Create A Pet tool. With it, players can completely personalize cats and dogs with unique appearances, behaviors, and outfits. On top of the pet creation aspect, the expansion also introduces the ability to become a veterinarian. Players can task their Sims with running their own veterinarian clinic, treating and saving sick pets.

Help Sims form special relationships, train and play games with pets and watch as they exhibit their own personalities, as well as their quintessential animal behaviors. In addition, fans can protect and care for pets by pursuing their veterinarian dreams and opening their very own vet clinic to become the town's most promising animal doctor.

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs is available now on Origin for $39.99. New players can also snag the expansion bundled with the base game for $49.99. The expansion launch comes just ahead of the arrival of The Sims 4 on consoles. The game is set to arrive on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 17 for $49.99, and is up for preorder now.

  • I'm playing with this Expansion Pack installed right now, and it is pretty awesome. I'm a bit sad that the Veterinarian Work is handled like Dine Out though. I wanted an Active Career, though at least owning a clinic has very flexible hours.
  • A 39 buck expansion. I see The Sims hasn't changed a bit since the first game.
  • It's EA, that's normal. ;)
