Wattpad's universal app spins its stories for Windows 10 PCs

Wattpad, a service that allows you to check out free books and stories, has launched its official universal app on Windows 10 PCs. The app, which is also available for Windows 10 Mobile and Windows Phone 8.1, offers an easy way to find and keep track of interesting work from both aspiring and well-known authors.

You can download stories on Wattpad for offline reading, and sync them between your phone, tablet, and desktop. You can keep up with new stories with a newsfeed full of updates and comments from your friends. Wattpad will also use your history to personalize reading recommendations.

Already out for phones, you can get Wattpad for your PC from the Windows Store now.

  • This is a pretty nice app. Found some good reading material and the company actually updates it.
  • More and more apps means windows 10 mobile is rising
  • Ooo. I'll try this out. Windows Central for Windows 10-Nokia Lumia 830
  • Used this app for quite sometime when it was released a few months ago. It was just SOO SLOWW! Everything from navigation, searching to reading, it was slow. Plus having comments on every line/page made it load a lot of data, which killed the reading experience. I'll try it again now. Hopefully they've improved. Sent from a black hole.
  • Just been using it on Windows 10 14328. Works well, definitely not slow.
  • We need official fanfiction.net app!!
  • Win 10 universal apps look good in general. Really like this clean interface.
  • It might be some kind of imagination but i feel microsoft had been working on windows 10 and universal apps ecosystem before 8 or 8.1 and developers were waiting for its release.....and we can expect better developers support from now on specially after recent reports of iphone sales dropping and windows 10, an universal platform, receiveing positive reviews....
