The Windows Phone game Combat Helicopter 2 is fast paced, entertaining combat game that has you piloting a helicopter through various locations, taking out enemy helicopters and bases. While we didn't have any experience with the original Combat Helicopter, the sequel is a decent choice when you have a few minutes to kill.
Graphics are nice, controls simply laid out, and with upgrades and multiple locations to battle from Combat Helicopter 2 is a nice addition to the Windows Phone gaming library.
Combat Helicopter 2 has two game modes, Survival and Campaign. Survival is simply surviving the enemy onslaught to see how many points you can rack up. There is an online leaderboard for bragging rights for those pilots who last the longest. The Campaign sends you to five locations that are progressively unlocked as you defeat the enemies in each location.
Controls on either game mode are the same with an elevation button in the left bottom corner and a fire button in the right bottom corner. As you upgrade and add more weapons to your arsenal (bombs, missiles, etc.) additional firing buttons will appear. Your game points are in the upper left corner and a damage meter runs along the bottom of the screen. Just below the damage meter is a progress meter that will show how much further you have to battle.
Before each game you will have the option to choose upgrade your current helicopter or purchase one of three additional copters. Credits needed for upgrades and new helicopters is earned in the Survival Mode (each enemy unit destroyed earns you credits. You can also buy credits through in-app purchase.
Game play is simple. Pilot your copter and blast your enemies into smithereens. Gravity comes into play so you'll be constantly tapping the elevation button just don't hit it too much or you'll fly into the ceiling. Your helicopter does have shields to minimize damage from hitting objects but once your damage meter hits zero, the games over.
Overall, I liked Combat Helicopter 2. Graphics are nicely done, there's enough challenge to the game to keep things interesting and I like how you'll need to play both modes to really make the most of the game. You'll need to play the Survival Mode to earn credits to upgrade and improve your helicopter to make it through the Campaign Mode.

Although it's too early for a review, here are some initial benchmarks from the new Surface Book 3 15-inch with a Core i7 and NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti (Max-Q) and how it compares to Surface Book 2 and other premium laptops.
