Andromeda Blue RL is a sci-fi styled combat game available in the Windows Phone Store that has you battling your opponent for control of a group of floating islands.

You can compete online against other Andromeda players or take on the computer in a single player game. The graphics and animations are nicely drawn up and overall, Andromeda Blue RL is a fun game to spend a little time with. Available for low-memory devices, the game does need a little fine-tuning, which should be taken care of in the near future.

Frederic is a Windows Phone game that has you traveling around the world with the legendary composer Frederic Chopin as he is resurrected to prove that his music is still tops and save the music industry.

You get to battle opponents from the piano keyboard from across nine global locations. Think of Frederic as being a little like Guitar Hero but played from the ivories of a piano. In just tinkering with the trial version of Frederic, the game comes across as a fun way to pass the time with and most importantly, it is our myAppFree Deal of the Week (a savings of $1.99).

Classic arcade games, more often than not, involved defending the earth or another planet from alien invaders and other extraterrestrial threats. Missile Command, Galaga, and many more games took that simple concept and branched out into unique gameplay directions.

Nowadays we have a trend of producing retro-style games for modern gaming platforms. That was Throwback Entertainment's goal with Deflector Mobile (also simply called Deflector). The game purports to be a classic arcade-style game in which players have to protect the earth from aliens and asteroids alike. Deflector has potential, but a number of UI issues keep it from having much-staying power. At least it's free!

The Wolf Among Us tears into Xbox One

Telltale's fantastic adventure game, The Wolf Among Us, is now available on Xbox One. You'll find a similar branching dialog structure mixed with quick-time events, cel-shaded art style, and gritty, gory subject matter as Telltale's previous hit episodic series, The Walking Dead. All five episodes are included from the first season of The Wolf Among Us.

Not long ago, we published a big story on Xbox One launch games getting re-released as " Game of the Year Editions." That term is shorthand for the re-release of a game that contains both the original game and some or all of its downloadable content bundled into a single package, usually at a significant savings compared to purchasing those items separately. No, GOTY Editions don't have to explicitly have "Game of the Year" in their names. Like I said, we use the term as shorthand.

Given enough time, many post-launch games will receive the GOTY treatment as well. Eagle-eyed Twitter personality Lifelower recently discovered a store listing for "Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition" at NewEgg. It looks like the ultimate World War II-era sniper simulation will get Ultimate Editions for Xbox One and 360 and Playstation systems in March of next year. Read on to learn just what we expect the re-release to include!

There are plenty of Windows Phone games available in the Store to help you pass short bits of time. These games are not overly complicated but challenging nonetheless. Toilet Time is one such Windows Phone game that is a collection of quick, mini-games designed to help you pass the time from the lavatory or anywhere else for that matter.

Available for low-memory devices, Toilet Time does have a bit of appeal. Games generally test your skills at speed and concentration. It may not be your first choice of games to occupy your private time but if you are looking for a game that is a change of pace, Toilet Time is worth trying.

WWE2K 15 is now available on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, allowing wrestling fans to step into the shoes of 63 wrestling superstars as well as several divas and managers. Xbox One and Playstation 4 owners haven't had a chance to step into the ring just yet, as the current-gen versions of the game don't launch until November 18. The extra wait has been rough but necessary because the Xbox One version will boast many unique features that didn't make it onto Xbox 360.

One of those features is a new-and-improved character creation mode, dubbed Superstar Studio. Today 2K Games released a video that details the Superstar Studio's depth and versatility. Players will be able to import their own images to customize wrestler faces, tattoos, clothing, and more. This looks like the most customization a wrestling game has ever offered – keep reading for the trailer and more details!

Not long ago, Koei Tecmo announced the mid-Febrary release date of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round for Xbox One and 360. The latest in the popular Dead or Alive series, Last Round will be the first fully 3D fighting game for the Xbox One. Most interestingly, the game will be offered as a free demo with four characters, a $5 version with 8 characters, or a full retail package with all 32 characters for $40.

Dead or Alive: Last Round won't be the only early 2015 release from Koei Tecmo. In January, the publisher plans to release Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires for Xbox One and Playstation 4. Also coming for those systems in early 2015 (no specific release date) is Bladestorm: Nightmare. Both are strategy games based on historical conflicts, promising hundreds of enemies on-screen at once and hundreds of hours of gameplay. Read on for trailers and early impressions!
