Microsoft finally fixes continuous ringing bug in Skype

Microsoft has reportedly fixed a very annoying bug that has been reported by Skype users. The bug caused a continuous ring in a web-based call on the VoIP service.

According to Thurrott.com:

Microsoft has informed me that they have released an update that addresses the issue where a web-instance of Skype would ring continuously even if a call was answered on another device. In addition to stopping the ringing, this should also help address the issue where messages would show up out of order as well; although it may not totally eradicate the problem.

As the article states, this small but important bug fix shows that Microsoft is trying to do a better job in making Skype more reliable as a messaging service.
