The Xbox One is launching in just 8 days. It’s shaping up to be a device that’s in position to transform your living room and become the center of entertainment for all your content in the Microsoft ecosystem. You’re also getting the chance to see Macklemore or Deadmau5 if you’re lucky enough to be in either Los Angeles or New York for launch events. Details below.

Microsoft and Deadmau5 have a pretty cozy relationship. The two have teamed up plenty times in the past to promote various products and services. Recently, Deadmau5 helped kicked off the second-generation of Surface in his homeland of Canada. Earlier this summer, Deadmau5 (along with Macklemore) were present for an event to celebrate Microsoft’s strong intern program. The two are apparently teaming up again for something a little more on the product side, check out the video below to see what we’re talking about.

Earlier this week we were lucky enough to be in attendance at the Electric in Brixton where Nokia promoted the Lumia 920 by showing a recorded version of Deadmau5's performance near tower bridge before bringing the man live into the club for a special free live event.

Of course we weren't content with going just for the beer and electro-house music, so we thought we'd use the opportunity to do another comparison for people still torn between the Lumia 920 and HTC 8X.

Nokia and Deadmau5 came together once again in the name of Lumia and produced an event of lights and magic for many who managed to attend the action in London on Wednesday evening. A light show was hosted, as well as an aftermath concert at Electric Brixton, which shared a live stream of the London square with those who were watching online.

So we've seen how the Lumia 920 holds up when attached to the front of a Land Rover, or at live concerts, but what's the quality like when you're (like many) recording while grooving to the beat? We decided to head on down to the Deadmau5 event in Brixton, London last night to see how our Lumia 920s would perform in low light, with high volume levels and an obscene amount of movement.

The other day we reported on the super secret deadmau5 show occurring at the end of the month (Wednesday 28th November) in conjunction with Nokia. Much like the last show, which was to quote some of our California friends 'hella cool', the new deadmau5 concert is meant to celebrate the launch of Nokia's new Lumia lineup.

Why the UK consistently gets these awesome shows and not the US (or elsewhere) we'll never know...

Another week, another cool video montage from Nokia on the little 'amazing' things in life. This one focuses on 'night', specifically in London and even features footage from the Deadmau5 event. The theme here is about making the most out of the night and not worrying about tomorrow--we can get behind that.

Overall, we like this series and where Nokia is going with these. Catch the previous episode here:

Thanks, hasona, for the tip!

As if to make a permanent tribute to Monday's Nokia-Deadmau5 event, a site has gone up with three videos: 'Performance', 'VNR' and 'Sizzle', all detailing the huge celebration of the Nokia Lumia 800. Besides that, you can download all three videos, with HD quality in PAL or NTSC. Heck, they even have an MP4 version available if you want to put it on a mobile device--you know, to show your friends on the go. In addition there are some super high res Getty images completely free and which really, really show detail of the party.

Finally, a recap of the event is provided with details on how it was pulled off:

"Millbank was plunged into darkness with the iconic Millbank Tower acting as the canvas for a never-before-seen spectacular. Each of the 120 metre high building’s 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed 300 metres away on the other side of the river, beamed 4D images onto the structure, making it seem like huge butterflies were flying across the London skyline and that the tower was spinning around. Billed as the “future of live events” the spectacular show was accompanied by music from super producer deadmau5, who created exclusive remixes for the performance – adding the 4th dimension, and the event was broadcast live online to http://www.Facebook.com/Nokia.uk"

Very cool stuff and certainly worth the time to peruse. See more at http://www.epklink.com/nokialumialive/

We mentioned just a few hours ago that Nokia would be bringing the video of  Deadmau5 event from yesterday to the masses and they delivered. Heck, it's more than just the live stream too as it's been edited with details of the event, new shots and new angles to really bring a new feel to it. (We bet some editors were up all night cranking this thing out).

Best part you can even watch it in 1080P if your computer can handle it. So enjoy and congrats to Nokia to making some history.

If you were like us, you watched a lot of the Nokia-Deadmau5 show via their Facebook page, only to have it cut off numerous times due to high server demand. Luckily, Nokia is planning on releasing the full-video sometime today on YouTube, Facebook and even Twitter. From the Nokia UK Facebook page:

"We’re sorry that some of you didn’t get to see the show tonight. We had some technical difficulties due to high demand, and are working through the night to get you the full show in HD tomorrow. Watch this space."

"deadmau5 live stream will be shown again tomorrow - we'll share the video with you all on our Facebook, YouTube and Twitter profiles. Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for the link"

Not bad. But in the meantime, you can watched this "ripped" version (above) from the event via Ivegtononick on YouTube. Since it's taken from the Nokia stream, it's pretty stellar quality. You'll also find a fan-video after the break if you want to feel what it was like fro the audience's perspective. Reader Marco300, who sent that video, also lets us know that it was so packed with fans that the police had to be brought in to control crowds. His only major complaint of the event? The show was too short with Deadmau5 only getting a few minutes of prime time.

Still, we can't think what an awesome commercial this will make. Our favorite part? Watch it 0:56 and 1:45--pretty amazing effect, if you ask us. Nice job, Nokia. Check out Marco300's video after the jump.

Nokia Lumia Live event - the before

While the Nokia Lumia Live event featuring Deadmau5 is still going on (catch it live here) we thought we'd share a few pictures captured before the event.  There's no telling how many cables, screens, computer and other gizmos were needed to transform the 800 windows of the 120 meter high Millbank Tower but from the looks of the live stream, Nokia did a good job of it.

We'll get some first hand observations up in a little while but based on the crowds it looks like the Nokia Lumia Live Event is a big success.

As we post, Canadian artist Deadmau5 is atop Millbank Tower in London to performing live in a 4D extravaganza.  The event is sponsored by Nokia as part of their Nokia Lumia Live series, and our very own Rich Edmonds and Jay Bennett are there.  800 windows of Millbank Tower have been transformed into a screen for a gigantic visual presentation (here's the teaser video).

If you are lucky enough to be there, say hello to our peeps.  If not, be sure to catch the live stream above, and keep up with the action on FaceBook.  You can also check out the teaser for some behind-the-scenes goodness.

Nokia UK just posted this amazing teaser video featuring music by Deadmau5 which promises an epic 4D promotion in (on?) Millbank Tower in London on November 28th.

The video just shows behind the scenes as engineers and lighting specialists being the preparations for what looks like an epic, end-all-be-all for Nokia's Windows Phone push in the UK. Seriously, between what just happened in New York City last week and what this video is promising, we're pretty excited. Looking to transform the building's "800 windows" into a "groundbreaking 4D audio and visual experience" in no small task.

This should certainly gain some publicity for Windows Phone and Nokia!

Thanks, Keith H., for the heads up!
