When Microsoft and its partners don’t share actual numbers with us we have to go elsewhere to get our data fix. AdDuplex is one of those places where we can get an overall look at the current Windows Phone landscape in terms of which devices are popular (hint: it’s the Lumia 520). What is AdDuplex? Last week, we learned about Lenovo’s decision to partner with SweetLabs and install a piece of software known as Pokki on all Idea and Think line units. The 3rd party software adds a traditional style start menu to Windows 8 in an attempt to help customer transition from Windows 7. Windmill is a puzzle game for your Windows 8 computer that doesn't have many bells and whistles but doesn't lack challenge.

The gaming screen is presented in straight forward fashion with a windmill styled grid of flour sacks hanging on a hook. There are 32 sacks with one empty hook. You're goal, jump the sacks to remove them and end up with one remaining sack hung on the center hook.

The game reminds me of those peg styled games that you find at Cracker Barrel restaurants. Just a little more difficult to solve.

The recently leaked details of Nokia's upcoming "Sirius" Windows RT tablet, has been generating a lot of buzz on what exactly will be under the hood. The tablet was first revealed ten days ago in leaked photos from Digi-wo.

WinSuperSite's Paul Thurrott says that he can confirm that the Nokia will indeed be releasing the 10.1-inch tablet and has offered up some specifics about it, including some specs, pricing and accessories.

Mozilla is looking to launch Firefox on Windows 8 with a Modern UI (Metro to you and I). Think of Internet Explorer, but a browser made by Mozilla and you get the idea. If you're a huge fan of the popular web browser and have been using the desktop version (or own a Windows RT tablet), fear not as you'll soon be able to enjoy all the features and functionality with Microsoft's simple look and feel. Microsoft appears to either be on a roll or the marketing department knows the weekend is near, thus they're attempting to go on an all-out attack. This latest commercial, published on the WindowsVideos YouTube channel, addresses the small tablet competition - namely, the iPad Mini. Taking the Acer Iconia W3 to the ring, the video shows off some of the cool features a tablet sports when running Windows 8.

Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 are both great platforms. While they’re made by Microsoft, there are times you might feel like two different companies built them. They might look the same, but there are features from each you wish the other had. Case in point, you can search for apps on Windows Phone using your web browser, but you can’t do that for Windows 8 apps. At least you couldn’t do that yesterday, now you can.

Apple has previously enjoyed kicking Microsoft down with the famous Mac versus PC advertisement campaign. It was a giggle to see Apple attempting to be trendy against Microsoft's "boring" OS and PCs in general. Now it's Microsoft's turn to hit back and the company is continuing its Apple-bashing run with the above advert, putting the Surface RT against the popular iPad.

If you weren’t already aware, it was announced back in early June that Microsoft would be opening Windows Stores within Best Buy locations. The new movement will reach 500 Best Buy locations across the United States and 100 other locations in Canada. You will begin to see the launch yourself throughout August and September of this year.

Good news if you’ve been camping out for a chance to grab Microsoft’s Surface Pro; the famous Windows 8 tablet has received a price cut of $100 brining the unit down to a starting price of $799. According to The Verge, the price cut will be available to customers in Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the US from August 4th to August 29th.
