Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One game or two on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. It's like a live podcast, only you also get to watch a game while chatting with our awesome readers and viewers!
Tonight we played Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops from Epiphany Games and Wired Productions. Tiny Troopers is a twin-stick shooter with adorable characters. We also gave out lots of great prizes. Read on for quick impressions, contest winners, and the full video replay!
Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops
The Tiny Troopers series has already made a blast on Windows Phone. Joint Ops is an upgraded version that launched on PlayStation consoles in 2014 and 2015. After a long wait, it has finally landed on Xbox One this month.
In Tiny Troopers, players will control one or more pint-sized soldiers through more than 60 levels of twin-stick shooting. Controls couldn't be simpler – just aim with the right stick to fire, hit the ground to avoid explosions, or use the shoulder buttons to fire special weapons. Rocket launchers and other special weapons can be bought with money collected from downed enemies.
The Xbox One version of Joint Ops brings a bunch of exclusive content to make up for its belated release, including new Zombie Survival maps and the optional Ultra Hard difficulty. The only thing missing is co-op multiplayer (not featured in any versions of Joint Ops). Tiny Troopers would be a natural fit for co-op, so maybe players will be able to team up in a sequel someday.
If you're looking for a shooter with short levels and lots of content, give Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops a try.
We streamed Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops for 90 minutes. During that time, we gave out a total of 20 game codes:
- 20 for Xbox One

How to watch Twitch livestreams
What's the best way to experience Twitch? The Twitch website on your PC or Mac web browser. If you don't have or prefer not to use a computer, you can get the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 Twitch apps and watch from the comfort of your couch. Android and iOS both have official and unofficial Twitch apps to choose from as well.
On Windows Phone, you'll have to grab an unofficial app. There are several to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Only one app lets you search directly for our channel, though. If you use the others you'll have to find and follow us from a web browser first. Read the roundup to learn more!
Want to know what's next for Windows Central's Twitch programming? We stream a different game every Saturday (and sometimes Sunday). The stream always starts at the same time: 9pm Eastern (8pm Central, 6pm Pacific, 2am GMT). Over the next few weeks, we'll be streaming the following (schedule not finalized):
- Saturday, March 19: Lifeless Planet from Stage 2 Studios
- Saturday, March 26: Dead or Alive 5 Last Round from Koei Tecmo – A $60 value!
- April 2: Tachyon Project from Eclipse Games
- April 9, 16, 23: To be announced
- Saturday, April 30: Arslan: The Warriors of Legend from Koei Tecmo – A $60 value!
We hope you'll tune in as often as you can! Set a recurring alarm on your phone so you'll always know when it's time for the stream to start.
These winners might be tiny, but they have big hearts. And that's what counts.
Tonight's prizes provided by Wired Productions. Thanks also to our Twitch stream moderators for keeping the peace and giving away the prizes!
