Hands-on with the Acer Aspire S 24, an all-in-one with tiny bezels and Qi charging

Announced today at IFA 2017, Acer's Aspire S 24 rocks a near bezel-less display, and comes with a couple of other fancy tricks.

Complete with Kaby Lake i5 and i7 Intel variants, this all-in-one also comes with Dolby Premium Sound, packing a Subwoofer into the base. It's also insanely thin, at 5.97 mm thick with a champagne gold metallic finish.

Acer says its IPS HD display provides a crisp viewing experience at all angles, with a display that can be tilted from -5 degrees to 30 degrees. It will come with up to 256 GB of SSD storage and 2 TB of HDD storage, and a unique base with Qi wireless charging capabilities. Simply place your phone while you're using the PC, and it will charge passively.

The Acer Aspire S 24 will go on sale in January 2018 starting at $999.

  • Thanks for a really thought provoking comment!
  • Zinger for Richard!  awesome.  I think this is a great device,  a 27" version WOULD be awesome...but more manufacturers should include QI into the base of their monitors, all in one's and even on laptop lids.   Makes for useful options.
  • thanks ONCE AGAIN for the fanpanzy downvote.  love getting your pink panties in a bunch with every comment I make....waaaaahhhhhh
  • With all my phones having Qi I would love to maybe replace my home machine with this....
