Got $1,300 burning a hole in your pocket and are looking for some large-screen WinMo 6.1 goodness? The HTC Advantage X7510, kept out of the U.S. because of Qualcomm's legal troubles, is now available on a few websites -- websites which probably won't worry to much whether or not you're supposed to be importing the Qualcomm chip into the US. ...Meaning you can finally get your hands on one - for a premium. A premium of 1299.99
A quick Advantage refresher (opens in new tab):
- UMPC form factor.
- 5-inch, 640x480 VGA screen.
- Windows Mobile 6.1.
- Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900).
- 624 MHz Marvell processor.
- Touchscreen.
- 16GB of internal flash memory.
- 256MB ROM/128MB RAM.
- 3.0MP camera with autofocus and LED flash.
- GPS.
- WiFi (b/g).
- Mini SD.
- Detachable keyboard.
On the Go Solutions expected stock by June 20 (i.e., they have it in now), and other online retailers likely will offer the X7510 soon.

These are awesome devices. I ordered one from Handtec UK(www.handtec.co.uk) using Google checkout. After jumping through security, time change and currency exchange hurdles, it is in my hands in the Midwest and functioning for a total of $1,189.14, including next day shipping. The good people at Handtec even called me in person to clear up a security issue and answer my questions. So far it is really living up to its billing. The only problems are getting older software versions and bluetooth accessories to run on WM6. Has anyone figured a workaround, since Stowaway/Igo has discontinued manufacuter and support of those terrific Bluetooth keyboards and travel mice? They don't intend to update the drivers for WM6. Raspberries to 'em.
