YouTube to your heart's content with Awesome Tube, today's AdDuplex HERO App

Awesome Tube is an easy-to-use and simply laid-out YouTube client that is available for Windows 10 PC and Mobile. It isn't fully-featured, but it comes mighty close and scores nicely as today's AdDuplex HERO App.

Being a HERO App, Awesome Tube becomes a part of a promotional campaign for Windows Phone and Windows developers on the AdDuplex Network. The campaign partners AdDuplex with AppDeals, TechRewards{.nofollow} and Windows Central to deliver a host of benefits to the top apps and games each month. Our role in the HERO App campaign is to offer a little exposure to these titles by sharing them with you, our readers.

The layout of Awesome Tube is relatively simple, with a series of main pages that highlight trending and recommended videos and tiled video categories to let you explore YouTube's catalog of videos. There is a drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the screen to give you access to Awesome Tube's settings, let you log into your YouTube account and search videos by keyword.

Settings include regional preferences, restricting uploads and downloads to Wi-Fi only, and your choice of color theme.

When you log into your YouTube account, a subscriptions page is added to the main page grouping and a host of options are added to the drop down menu. These new options include your upload option, an option to pull up your channels, view your playlists, view your history, see a list of any 'watch later' videos and view any saved videos.

The layout does have a Windows Phone 8.1 feel, but not in a bad way. Video listings include a description of the video, comments and any related videos that might spark your interest. You can comment on videos through Awesome Tube, and leave ratings as well.

Should you need to jump to another page within Awesome Tube while you are viewing your video, playback will be reduced to a thumbnail view in the bottom right corner of the screen. Tapping the thumbnail will return you to full-screen viewing.

Awesome Tube is free to download and use, though it is supported with ads (you can remove them via a $0.99 in-app purchase). There are some notable YouTube clients available for Windows 10 Mobile, but it doesn't take long with Awesome Tube to know that the app is a great addition to that list.
