Best Buy is giving away $30 digital gift cards with the $300 Nintendo Switch

During the Black Friday weekend, the best deal we saw on the Switch included a $25 gift card. Since then, Amazon came out with a deal featuring the Switch with a $30 gift card. Now Best Buy has matched that. If you buy the Nintendo Switch for $299.99 at Best Buy, you'll get a free $30 gift card through the email you used. That's about as good as discounts get for the Switch, and you can use the $30 to get some discounts on games or accessories for the Switch.

According to Best Buy, the gift card will be sent to you after the Switch order is fulfilled. You might get an email before you get the gift card asking you to confirm your email, and you'll have 60 days to respond to that to continue to be eligible for this promo. Use the card in store or online. If you're buying the Switch for someone, it might be nice to take them to the store and let them pick out a game for themselves you can use the card on.

The Switch is a great console with a ton of amazing games you can't get anywhere else. I wish I had one. I'd play older games like Breath of the Wild or something new like Super Mario Maker 2. The Switch has the unique ability to be played like a regular gaming console or used as a handheld. That makes it a great device to take with you on road trips or sit on your couch playing on the big screen. The battery life can last up to nine hours, but that will depend on the game you're playing.
