The dialogues are absolutely hilarious and it's rather entertaining to watch. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who protects the Earth against various strange villains which include everything from robots to fighters from outer space who wish to see what Earth's best challengers can do. This is where the fun begins. Gamers who were watching Microsoft's E3 2017 conference on June 11, 2017 were surprised to see that a new game, called Dragon Ball FighterZ, was headed to Xbox One.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is a fighting game which surprisingly has a quirky story. This next part might not make sense to those who don't follow the show. Goku and his friends must fight a new battle against a revived Android 16 and his army. There are a few chapters in there and events take place from the perspective of different characters. How the adventure unfolds and if you're ultimately successful is up to just how good you are.
Bandai Namco revealed that an open beta would take place closer to launch but didn't provide any further details until now. If you want to test out the game, early access to the open beta will be available for those who digitally preordered Dragon Ball FighterZ on January 13, 2018 at 3 AM EST. You can download the client starting on January 12 at 12 PM EST.
Keep in mind that you'll need to download an additional add-on in order to get in early. Even though this is rather complicated, you have to search the storefront for "DBFighterzBETA" to find "Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta Early Access". Download this little file to activate early access. Everyone else can access the open beta on January 14 at 3 AM EST until January 15 at 3 PM EST.
Aside from details about the open beta, the publisher provided new information about the Dragon Ball FighterZ's Story and Arcade modes. In Arcade Mode you fight waves upon waves of enemy teams to get the highest rank. Each course features battles with a wide variety of foes. Your route in each course is determined by your score in the previous battle.
In Story Mode, you'll be traversing three original plots in a squad. As you progress, you'll learn the basics of combat and help your characters become stronger. Taking on a boss progresses the storyline and rescuing allies grant you new playable characters. Some characters will have unique dialogue if they're fighting alongside specific teammates so be sure to change up your squad if possible.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on January 26, 2018 on Xbox One, Windows PC and PlayStation 4. Be sure to look for our review closer to launch. Xbox One X owners are in for a treat because the game promises substantial upgrades for Microsoft's new console. Another beta test will also take place closer to launch.
