Dropbox for Windows Phone 8.1 updated with interface tweaks and more

Dropbox for Windows Phone 8.1 has picked up a pretty solid new update, bringing the app to version 2.3 with some tweaks to the interface and more. In this latest update, text selection has made its way to the text viewer and images in the gallery are now grouped by date.

Here's the lowdown on what's new in Dropbox version 2.3:

  • Gallery: Images are grouped by date
  • Recents: incremental data loading to see more events
  • Text viewer: text can be selected
  • Improve UI of the app
  • Improve the startup time of the app
  • Bug fixes and performance improvement

Dropbox is a universal app with Windows 8.1 as well, but developer Rudy Huyn notes that these improvements are only hitting the Windows Phone 8.1 version of the app. To grab the latest update, go ahead and hit up the link below.

  • And it now works for my 930 on W10M, too.
  • How is this developer single handedly chrun out so much to the Windows phone community. I admire a lot. Does he has a testing team or does he do everything on his own like design develop and Test? Truly remarkable.
  • On his own , he is a genius !
  • I'm his fan now... One man army he is
  • I thought he have this team called 6studio
  • 6studio is the name of my company and has only one employee: me :D
  • The app used to keep me logged in but now wants me to login. It won't let me log in with the email and password that the dropbox web site accepts. There is no place to enter the authenticator number. It gives the "Incorrect email or password" error message? How do I contact the developer?
  • Go outside, yell like a mother fucker....then listen for a response....
  • contact me here: rudyhuyn at gmail com. Are you sure you speak about the windows phone app?
  • Re: Rudyhuyn,
Thank you. Yes, it is Windows Phone 8.1. I'll email you with more information. Again, thank you so much.
  • Re: Rudyhuyn,
It works. What a great App and Developer.
    Thank you.
  • Sky I mean OneDrive shits on this and with w10m why would anyone use this? Suppose it will help the hoards of isheeple that will flock here via the 950's
  • Because many people (like me) use multiple cloud storage companies. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Google Drive and Dropbox are superior, them's the facts.
  • Google Drive is not even close to Dropbox or OneDrive. Its only recently that gDrive is tied to their photos....long time coming.
  • Good for this developer! At least *somebody* (looks Microsoft's way) didn't forget about the majority of their users on WP 8.1.
  • :)
  • Is there anyway to change its display in grid view ?
