Flipboard app for Windows Phone now available to download

Update 2: Flipboard has informed us that they are working with Microsoft for a 512 MB-optimized version of the app.

Update: Users can now download the Flipboard app. It is still not available for 512 MB phones although it does have some 'flip-like' animations.

The long awaited Flipboard online news reading app for Windows Phone that's been in development for over a year and had a false start a few days ago, may finally and officially be available for download in the Windows Phone Store sometime today.

Originally, the app became available but it was later pulled from the Store due to it being a 'placeholder' version and not the official one.

Microsoft's Joe Belfiore used his Twitter feed to make the announcement, but it looks like the app is still not available for some users. Hopefully that will be fixed later today. In any case, the Flipboard app is something that has been promised for a long time so we would hope that this announcement means it is close to release. We will update you when and if the app really becomes available.

Not much is clear in regards to this updated version of the Flipboard app. We still do not know if it actually 'flips' or if it has 512 MB support. We will update accordingly.

If you want, you can use the download link below, which has the Flipboard app last updated today. However, we are still getting a 'not available for your device' error message, so this could take a few hours before it really gets out there. In other words, don't shoot the messenger if you cannot download it right now ;)

  • 1 year of waiting. Much wow
  • 1 Year for 1GB RAM users. 512MB RAM users still have 511 years left.
  • haha maybe they are waiting for cortana to save the universe in the future :p
  • muahah
  • Lol
  • Such flip
  • I still can't find the flipping ...
  • Scrollboard, NO flip here!
  • much scroll... awfull app, magnify reader is da shit
  • It actually works good (I grabbed it before it was pulled)...
  • I hope this will work on 512mb ram devices, or else it's really going to get dumped for all those other brewed readers out there that are probably better from this
  • +512MB
  • I just don't understand why. If you buy a cheap 512 phone you should have enough common sense to know you can't run all apps. Would you buy a Chevy Spark and expect it to go 200MPH??? No... You'd buy a Corvette. Bottom line you get what you pay for.
  • flipboard works like a charm on a 512 MB RAM android devices. so, the answer is NO, we do not want to go 200 mph on a crappy car. we just want the same experience as android users. or, is WP that bad? hmmm?
  • FYI.... this is not android Posted via Windows Phone Central App
  • exactly and that is why struggling

  • No it's struggling because Microsoft charged a license fee at the start. Now that Microsoft waived that market share will rise. Posted via Windows Phone Central App
  • I actually heard people say that it is quite laggy on Andriod devices with 512 MB RAM
  • because 512 mb devices are the majority, devices like 720 are not cheap they are mid range, so you are basically saying if u want WP then buy a flagship. dont make stupid chevy n corvette comparisions, Aren.t android 512 mb devices running flipboard. Bottomline WP will continue to struggle and lose marketshare.
  • You're wrong. You chose to get that phone. The Blu HD was smart enough to go with 1GB. It's only $179 on Amazon. So you can get a high performance phone if you explore your options. Posted via Windows Phone Central App
  • that phone was released like 1 week ago, don't try to be a smart ass
  • Android bot LOL!
  • Man you're so cool! When I grow up I wanna be just like you.... Not! Posted via Windows Phone Central App
  • so you are saying that . modern combat , amazing spiderman , gta san andreas runs on 512 mb devices BUT THIS CAN't ?  are you serious ? you are implying that 512 mb devices cant run a flip animation ? you need to grow up dude
  • No I'm implying that 512 devices are cheap and they want perform like a 1GB. So why do people expect them to.
  • We are not talking abt some high graphics visually stunning games, just a simple news reader with flip animation, and there is a MS restriction that why cant some apps run on 512 mb devices, ofcourse it is to make sure that apps run smoothely but then they should not have released 512mb devices then
  • Wich one are you referring to? The one that got out the other day and then got pulled? It's not the same app.
  • Still doesn't flip... Now I'm getting flipbored.
  • So news.
  • Weird, downloads only on cellular data, not Wi-Fi.
  • I can confirm that flip board is available for all to download now. I just did, but guess what, it doesn't flip! Or is there something I'm not doing properly?
  • Where is that 512 mb banner.
  • If we cannot download the app, how can we know if it has 512 MB support? I suppose we should have wrote that in the article, oh wait... ;)
  • It says u need a gb of ram when I tapped on the link
  • Should have written*
  • Lolza
  • I can confirm flipboard is available to all now, but it doesn't flip
  • It does flip
  • I tap on link, and it says 1 gb ram in the store. So I think no support for low ram devices. But I have our own flip board app (plash), better than flip board.
  • Actually there are a warning in the web WP Store stating that "this app is not available on every phones"...
  • Considering no one can yet download this I prefer to verify myself.
  • Yup, an fps reader, news reader for 1gb ram devices, hardcore reader, goodbye reader ^^
  • Just downloaded on Icon.
  • How do you know it's better when you haven't tested both out on a WP?
  • But I already downloaded it. On my 920. And I just opened the link and it says its not available for my device?
  • High-five for you. The app was pulled that day from the Store, which I'm guessing you missed.
  • Crazy fast world we live in.
  • Same here. I'm using the app.
  • So is everyone who downloaded it that day. Hit the link about 'false start' and you will understand the context of what we are talking about ;)
  • damn dude.  Are you always this rude?  You don't come across that way on twit or wpc videos.
  • This definitely isn't the first time.
  • I'm never one to kiss editors ass', but how exactly was he rude? People should just read the damn article...
  • Daniel said earlier, "you will magically understand" but later he deleted "magically". Or maybe it was "mysteriously". I forget.
  • He should've kept it in. Too many users on this site seem incapable of basic reading skills.
  • Don't confuse having a low tolerance for laziness as being rude. Its amazing how thin skinned, whiny and self absorbed people are these days.
  • As the app was put in the store i directly downloaded it to my L920 and on the other day i searched for flipboard for details in the store and i couldn't see it rather.... I need to know how come developers put their app by mistake is it a one click button to publish ?
  • It said in the article that it was a place holder. It was never released officially
  • Just read Joe Belfiore's tweet on twitter regarding this. Currently they are investigating as to why there is no availability of the app.
  • Just downloaded the update, This Sh!t is Gorgeous. Better picture quality, better layout and better home screen design. Flipboard now looks gorgeous on my 1520 Baby.
    Thank you Jesus......and Flipboard ;)
  • It still doesn't flip on my 1520, I'm I doing something wrong
  • lol, it doesn't FLIP, yet.
  • I already got it
  • I can't download it! It's not available!!! Jk folks ;)
  • Grab it before they pull it again
  • Right, I'm gonna compare them both...ooops, they updated it instead.
  • a flipboard app that doesn't flip !!good job !!
  • Waiting for 6Flip... Just a dream...
  • It's back, and it vanished again.  Oh wait it's back, oh it's vanished again.  Oh wait it's back. What a mess, just like WP.
  • U can go and use another os dude, btw, magnify is way better app
  • App is not available for 512 MB devices. I got that message on my Lumia 520 Indian region. :(
  • Not for 512mb.
  • Its because of intense graphics which cant be handled by low RAM devices :p XD
  • What do you really mean by intense graphics??...... Have some sense man
  • It has some animation
  • His use of ":p" and "xD" makes it clear he was being sarcastic.
  • I have had the app for about a week now
  • No, you haven't, because you have been using the wrong one.
  • It's the right one, just leaked.not much different.
  • At this point, does anyone even care for this anymore? Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
  • dumb Developers wasted a whole year n could not even make the app flip...n also give support for 512MB devices...I think microsoft should interfere at this point if they really want WP to succeed
  • I don't care. For news I have plash app, which is perfect for me. Great and beautiful UI.
  • I didn't care before or now, but I'm addicted to the comments section of awaited apps articles.... Pure gold :D
  • I thought I was the only one! More like pure platinum. Lol
  • Pure gold
  • Lol. I know the expression. But platinum is more valuable than gold. Just playing around.
  • I comment on articles about things that I don't care about.
  • Then again, you never have anything useful to say anyway ;) Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
  • I downloaded thinking it would be similar to how the people hub works by aggregating feeds into one.. it doesn't you need to open individual feeds for news, Facebook, Twitter... whats the point? I might as well open the separate apps.
  • Crap
  • Doesn't support 512 mb phone :")
  • Shoooot the messengers! :D
  • I saw an app review that says "It doesn't flip". Lol.
  • Well that's about the one right?
  • I have it already... What will change after all?
  • I feel like an android user waiting for 8.1 on my phone.
  • I have Xbox Live on my PS4, multiplayer Mario Kart anyone?
  • Much better apps available, not needed
  • More choices. :)
  • It's saying app not available...
  • READ THE ARTICLE!
  • >anno domini 2014
    >bitching over Flipboard when Nextgen Reader exists
    >pfftch
  • So was the first one a hoax or a mistake?
  • Mistake.
  • App is not available for Lumia 930 !!!
  • read!
  • No 512mb ram support. Damn! :3
  • Still not available in the UK .
  • Whatever... :P
  • Not aviable at Mexico ¬¬
  • Got it on my 928 the first time.
  • Please, no beta.
  • It's not beta. It's final version.
  • I still don't get what's supposed to be so special about this app. The nice layout aside, what's so great about an app that lets you read a few sentences and opens the according website upon tap? I much prefer RSS readers, where articles that actually interest me are pulled, so I can read them without any connection required.
  • Disappointed with it... @dKp1977 what's your favorite RSS reader?
  • Even though there are several great RSS readers in the store, if I had to choose, I'd always go for Nextgen Reader. Feature rich, beautiful universal app.
  • Please I need this app for my Lumia 520 I'm eating this app for 5 months
  • Addict!
  • Do you want some wine to go with it? ;)
  • Give me information about new update after 8.1 update !!what's coming up next?
  • Not availble on Verizon, Lumia Icon. Windows Phone 8.1 DP   T_T Actually nevermind, it's not really ready for release given the comments. Flipboard doesn't flip, manual refresh. Will check back next year.
  • Meh, just for 1gb ram
  • At 1MB, it surely is a web wrapper.
  • WP is always a big disappointment when its comes to app. Lol even simple app need 1 gb ram.
Wtf MS did with WP that every simple app need 1gb at first. Anyway Flipboard will comes to 512mb ram devices after 6 months.
    Happy waiting
  • My 1020 has 2GB RAM haha..
  • I just hands on it on my Lumia 830...
  • For real this time, right?
  • Not available for my L1320...
  • No 512 devices... Unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!¡!¡
  • Much prefer News Republic which arrived on 1st October. Much nicer UI, better feeds and more.
  • App not available on Lumia 1520
  • I got it on my Android phones years before but my Lumia 1520 is still waiting .. How weird :D
  • Flipboard that doesn't "flip"?!!.1GB RAM just for a news app?!!smh
  • 1gb only. Lucky I'm picking up a 930 tomorrow :D
  • Not available yet
  • Not available for +920.
  • 512 mb ram not supported .
  • Not available on the Lumia 1520
  • Can be downloaded now
  • Our folks working with flipboard say "try again in a little while" -- it got posted to store at 6am and is propagating... https://twitter.com/joebelfiore/status/517702478955950080
  • Got it. Lumia 925. Only took about 460 days to finally come to WP.
  • I didn't realize the other one I downloaded wasn't the official. Updated just now. Thx!
  • Is it that hard to make the Windows 8.1 Flipboard app a universal app so that it can be used on the phone? *Continues to use NextGen Reader for Windows 8.1 and WP 8.1*
  • why one needs flipboaed when there is msn news
  • The download is working now...
  • Actually is is much faster and better than the flip version. I kinda like it more than ios and android and even win8.1 version of that. Maybe they can call it scrollboard ;)
  • Lol nice 1 ;)
  • It doesn't flip !
  • But you can scroll down now, that's something right?
  • So we're not calling it Slideboard anymore? We're now calling it Scrollboard?
  • Why do I need a 1GB RAM device to flip pages of a newsreader?
  • Is that a lumia 830?
  • Perhaps it's a lumia 930 :P
  • It still doesn't flip, but it "scrolls down", that's something... It syncs now, more useable for sure
  • Doesn't flip. Maybe they should rename it to "Scrollboard"? Anyone else find the whole UI messy and unintuitive (like settings being buried under My Magazines)? I'm very dissapointed with this, especially consiering how good it is on iOS and even Windows 8.   EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to calling it "Scrollboard".
  • The version they pulled was better :/
  • This is unjust to me. I can't download this app simply because my Lumia 630 doesn't have 1GB of RAM.
  • A single developer can alone do much better in that much time. An undergrad can learn coding, WP development and then develop a Flipboard like app. They must have employed a potato to develop this shit.
  • Agreed. I dunno why people take so long. It's not like its a video game nor are they stupid.
  • No they just get lick backs from apple to not support WP .. And when they finally do they murder the app so its horrible
  • You leave spuds out of this, you potatophobe
  • I guess devs completely stopped supporting 7.8. I'm using one as an emergency phone and literally all of these new apps can't download these new ones
  • MS gives a damn abt 7.8 and so do the devs, unfortunately
  • It's live!!!!
  • Oh no shit
  • Much FASTER than the Beta omg! And I like it the flip would make it lag. No lag at all!
  • The link's live guys. Grab the app now :)
  • People get with the age Windows Phone 7.8 is dead!! Get a new phone lord
  • Marked improvement over the earlier version that was made available. Still does not flip, but does not matter to me. Impressed. Thank you Flipboard!!
  • it has been a year , flipboard is old news now  i'll stick to nextgen reader
  • Just updated it, and it still doesn't flip.
  • "Flipboard" should be rebranded as "Scrollboard" in Windows Phone haha
  • It doesn't flip... Is it a joke? More than a year waiting for this?
  • Still no flipping
  • Weave may not flip, but at least it swipes:))
  • Weave also allows better customizations
  • So it's not region customized? All I'm seeing is US news when I choose the categories
  • What "flip like" animations are you referring to? Looks like I scroll up and down to read.... very unFlipbook like...
  • Here's what I want to know. 1) Are the developers just to lazy to figure out how to make it "flip" on Windows Phone or 2) Windows Phone is too rediculous to support a "flip" animation when sliding left/right because it's a system limiation... (typically you scroll across an app left to right, so....?)
  • By the fuzz and complaining and whining around this app you'd say everybody here is Kissinger, no less! People just can't live without the news delivered by this flipflop app! Come on people. There are like 30 apps of this type in the store. Seems to me you didn't want the news, just the flipping!
  • No region specific content, only US news and other content. No flip is sad part.
  • Finally available for Lumia 1520
  • Available now for 1520
  • Nice joke :p
  • Finally!!!
  • Was flipboard in beta prior to this because it was already on my phone and updated?
  • more than one year for this web wrapper that need 1 GB RAM.....better stick with nextgen reader
  • Is it a web wrapper?
  • I got it :) awesome look that needs flipping :)
  • Okay Flipboard round 2 let's see how his goes.
  • This app sucks so bad on windows phone .. Why did they change it
  • Agree
  • What good does it do if it can't even run on 512MB devices which is the majority of Windows Phone devices?
  • OMG - Just installed and logged in via my FB account and got this email notification... "We detected a login into your account from a new device named "Android on Nokia Lumia 930) like iPhone" on Thursday, 2 October 2014 at 18:34. This device has been added to your account.
    Operating System: Windows Phone 8.1
    Browser: Android" WTF!!!!
  • So... Lemme get this straight: -It took them almost a whole year to develop a news feed app. -And after that time, the app doesn't even support 512 MB devices. -Not to mention it DOESN'T FLIP... What's flipboard without flipping? -Oh, and a whole year of developing without ability to check credential from Facebook app in the phone, keeps asking you to login again using website wrapper...   If this isn't too much for a news feed app after 1 whole year then I don't know what it is anymore. Is that really hard to develop these features for a news feed app for Windowsphone? They created such quality of app and then trashed Windowsphone for low adopt rate? Now remind me why should I use this crap rather than Nextgen of Magnifier
  • Very disaapointed with this update. The early version was better than this. The only problem was it didnt flip. But Now its just a web wrapper. Almost all content selection will take you to internet explorer for viewing. Its a big joke. Rather they would have called it a beta and updated later. But for now its just web scroll board.
  • Installed on my 1320. Does not support 512 devices, on my 635, store gives back info that my device doesn't have all the requirements. About the app itself, well, everything is ok, however I would also liked it to flip, not scroll. Let's hope that future updates bring new stuff to it...
  • I already have it and was just now able to update it using the link to the store. By the way it does not flip, it scrolls.
  • I love this app on iOS, Android and even Win8.1.....but the WP8 app is a joke. The experience is nowhere near as good as the other versions. Very disappointed.
  • I tend to agree. Its got the official logo but the app doesn't flip, it slides. That's cool and all that but they went out the easy way and did what every apps does.  Except for DailyAha.  That app is much nicer and it has "page turn" technology build in and it looks sweet. Even DailyAha for Windows 8 Modern UI app is nice. I'm glad to finally have it but they could have warned us.
  • The animations lag even on a 920. No wonder they are yet to release for 512MB devices. What's puzzling is, why aren't devs able to optimize an app natively for the platform from the get go? I understand that all software tend to get polish over time and offer great performance but of late, many apps are poor performing when they hit the store. Is it because of rushing the app or is it because of any limitations in the available SDK? I hope that it's the former.
  • Buuuuu! no 512mb devices, not a total surprise since the  false start last week, but I was expecting it to be included in the final version, one more reason for  me, to update my 720.
  • All the bitchin and moaning in this post is unbelievable!
  • I have had this for almost two weeks..
  • It was removed for two weeks....
  • Still no flip, now we can call it Scrollboard
  • Agree you
  • It is very smooth on my lumia 820.but is not flipboard rather a scrollboard.
  • This whole situation is just way to ridiculous and silly to even get all up in arms about, lol.
  • I downloaded scrollboard last time it vanished and it was quite good it had slight lag, I just updated and the lag is gone and pictures look beautiful still no flipping but looks good, if making it flip is gonna lag they should leave it like this.
  • Flip my a**, Flipboard Inc. We don't need your disgusting app on our Windows Phones a million years after iPhones and alphas and betas and placeholders and pullouts. Long live Bing News and Converge.
  • Plash works for me!
  • Rip 512 Mb phone :(
  • Really not good.UI,script,is bad.Wish can be updated well.
  • No love for T-Mobile 925
  • I need the flipping, or I don't want it.
  • So they essentially just took a user interface that was perfectly suited to Windows Phone and tossed it out the window and did what would have been more in place on any other device. Windows Phone apps typically will scroll side to side at SOME point, which works well in place of the "flip" animation but they went with vertical full page scrolls (sometimes it messes up and lets you manually scroll incrementally). Windows Phone itself uses a similar flip animation throughout. I've had taken side scrolling if they just wanted to be like Windows 8 apps. Anyways, I'm not sure why they took so long to bring out this app and it doesn't behave like the other flipboard apps and video doesn't work (at least not in my phone).
  • No scrollboard for Lumia 1020 uk
  • I also want to add that for the few comments that complain about our complaints, a poorly done Flipboard app 1.5 years after it was announced is horribly negative on Windows Phone itself. Maybe the "flip" animation can't be done because of WP(even though it works on the home screen, in other apps, etc) for some reason, but either way, it looks bad and will continue pushing would-be users and developers away without giving it a fair shot. So the complaining/bitching and moaning is warranted in my point of view. Treat us fairly developers.
  • Valid point.
  • I got it now. Signed into my FlipBoard account, all is good
  • Taking much time for loading. Laggy|||
  • Got it and its good. Kinda funny with no flip...
  • OK, after using it awhile, I have to admit, I may have to soften my stand about demanding that the pages "flip". It really is a good looking app. This was the absolute last app I was missing from my old iphone days. (Seems like a lifetime ago.)
  • This is not Flipboard...this should be called Scrollboard....its fake
  • I know right, I taught they pulled it the other day to fix the scrolling and make it flip.
  • I like the old (from last week) non-flip action instead of this scrolling.
  • What's so interesting about Flipboard? The MSN News app from Microsoft appears to be best for me! The UI of Flipboard (even for Windows 8.1) is so complicated!
  • Just downloaded the app looks to be working fine on my 920 minus the flipping pages when the app is open but as long as I get my news I'm good. In other news, the live tile is flipping like crazy
  • I got it today, as it was already installed on my new Lumia 830!
And it had the Denim version!
    Lovely day today!
  • Was hoping this would provide the same functionality that Zite did, but article curation is either non-existent of just plain horrible... so I'm gonna pass on it. Someone needs to make a Zite-like app that doesn't suck.
  • Mobile IE flips fine when looking at a Flipboard mag. Why can't the app? At least I can manage my own mags now.
Take that back, can't remove items. What's with the huge font on some items. Must be a all Apple shop.
  • It working now, at least for my 822
  • Here people!  Jairo Arnez ‏@derry666  2 hHace 2 horas @FlipboardCM Hi! A question: ¿Flipboard for 512ram devices Windows phone like lumia 620? (please!) Sorry for my english     Jon Virtes ‏@FlipboardCM  34 minHace 34 minutos @derry666 We're working with Microsoft to develop a Flipboard optimized for lower memory Windows Phones.
  • Thank you flip board
  • Thank god
  • Well it... Kinda flips... Something between flipping and scrolling... Weird...
  • Scrollboard lol
  • This app isn't worth talking about. Clunky interface and it doesn't even flip. It took a year for this joke too.
  • Finally was able to download it on my HTC8XT (Sprint) today after not being able to load it over the last two weeks even though my phone has 1GB of RAM. It doesn't flip in the sense that you're accustomed to on iOS, Android or even Windows 8.1. It scrolls but when you select an article it does a weird quick page load like flip like the standard Windows Phone animation of a tile flipping but not an true flip as if you're turning a page in a magazine. And when you go back to the main stories then it does a quick jerky flip back.
  • what about live lock screen ahead of beta version
  • Won't download. No error message or anything. Out won't even start. Shows up in the store, also says I own it, but the progress bar won't move. Tried on Wi-Fi and cellular only, nothing. Hoping it's just a store issue or something.
  • This is a (non-)flippin' disgrace! Smh...
  • Yep. Try DailyAha. It does great news and its got pageturn.
  • Downloaded and running on my Icon, and indeed it doesn't flip....maybe in the next update?
  • It's basically a scrolling newsfeed. Nothing more. The app is much better on my Nexus 7.
  • Seems flippier. NOT!!!
  • Horrible
  • We now know where the health care app developers went. Only the govt could fail this horribly. Microsoft needs to axe these developers and distance themselves, not promote them for crying outside.
  • It's working great. Although I'm not a big fan for Flipboard on a smaller smartphone. I'm a huge fan for Flipboard on tablet platform though.
  • I'm not feeling the love from MSFT and TMO as I still have 8.0 on my less than 1 yr old Nokia 925. This will probably be my last Windows Phone. I was left behind as well with 7.8 just last year. At least I have Flipboard in my Android tablet.
  • Everywhere you go, people will always find a way to complain about anything instead of being grateful to even have anything at all. If you don't like it just don't use it.
  • If you were so forgiven with whatever they have given you no matter how terrible it is after such a long time of developing, then don't ask why your own store is full of crappy apps. Flipboard seem like just trying to milk money from Microsoft while lazily lying down to make a bad reputation to windowsphone marketplace with bad quality famous apps. Try to be a real customer, not an app slave.
  • Download weave (supports 512mb) it is a good replacement for flipboard
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb/store/app/weave-news-reader/25f7c2fa-c... Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
  • Doesn't flip may be app should be scrollboard !
  • This app is just horrible, a year wait for this is truly a disapointment. This was one of the reasons I bought my 1520. Oh well better start checking iPhone 6 prices
  • The app isn't really that terrible and it's the first version they released so give it little bit more time( if you waited so long for it to be released then it shouldn't really be such a problem to wait a little longer so they can get it right) I am sure they'll make it better.
  • Abject disrespect.
  • Ok so lets get this straight! It took them how long?? to release this app that does NOTHING special than any other news apps such as weave? and again as most of the WP apps, is not as it is on Android and IPhone. Fliboard that does not flip...wow great naming guys. Weave News Reader is much better, way much better also magnify.
  • No flipping, 1 star rating
  • This is insulting for Windows phone...first of all...flipboard developers take more than 2+ years just to come up with an app...and it does not even freakin flip...i mean are they just lazy or not interested in making the app for WP...i donno if I should be mad at flipboard or WP :/
  • funny the first story I selected I tried to view the video and it told me to download sbsondemand app from android store lmao. it was on their site (sbs) but funny anyway.
  • Flipboard Arrives on Windows Phones http://inside.flipboard.com/2014/10/02/flipboard-arrives-on-windows-phones/ Everything u need to know! Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
  • Scrollboard, doesn't flip at all. I stopped waiting for this long ago and glad I did. Prefer other readers on my 1520
  • It doesn't flip and redirects to websites.. Sooo I'll stick with bing news.
  • Soooooo I wrote a review, an angry review of this app... and this is what flipboard answered, the intentionally left the flip effect out because "they thought it was not the best way of using the platform" Hi there,
The developer for the app Flipboard has responded to the review you posted on 10/2/2014. Seriously guys! Is this the best you could do with a whole year of work??? This flip/scrolling thing?? Is this why you have been harboring this thing all this time?? For such a terrible poorly made pseudo flipping animation??? Argh... By Charlie Thanks for your review. Not including the flip was an intentional change. We develop specifically for each platform and you may see different design choices depending on what we thinks make the best use of the specific platform.
