A couple of weeks ago, inXile Entertainment’s Wasteland Remastered appeared free to claim forever (via TrueAchievements), or so it seemed.

For those unaware, Wasteland is one of inXile’s long-running franchises, set in a post-apocalyptic world with RPG mechanics, and often seen as a spiritual predecessor to series like Fallout.

Essentially, those who redeemed the game are being given a full copy for free, which is a nice gesture, and another bit of positive Xbox momentum that we seem to be having no shortage of lately (hopefully I don’t jinx things by saying that).

I actually quite enjoyed the Wasteland series, and I have fond memories of completing Wasteland 3 with a friend. It’s definitely one of the franchises I’d love to see return in the future, so fingers crossed for that in the future

inXile is, however, currently very busy working on the upcoming Clockwork Revolution, which is shaping up to be an interesting game from what we've seen so far.

Over to you though, did you manage to claim a free copy of Wasteland Remastered when the glitch appeared, or like me, did you miss out? Fortunately, the game is still available on Xbox Game Pass, so I can at least enjoy it over there.

Anyway, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments, and as always, make sure you take part in our poll!
