Gears of War 4, Mass Effect, and more headed to Xbox Game Pass in December

Microsoft has announced the next lot of games headed to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Starting in December, the monthly subscription-based service, which gives subscribers access to a library of more than 100 games, will add seven new Xbox One and Xbox 360 games, including the likes of Gears of War 4, Mass Effect, and more.

Here's a look at what's coming in December:

  • Gears of War 4
  • Darksiders: Warmastered Edition
  • Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter
  • This War of Mine: The Little Ones
  • Casey Powell Lacrosse 16
  • Mega Man 10
  • Mass Effect

Gears of War 4 was expected to make an appearance in December, and it's definitely one of the highlights. With its arrival, all of the Gears of War games are now available via Game Pass. Gears 4 also serves as a solid way to check out the horsepower of the Xbox One X, thanks to a set of enhancements from a recent update.

Each of these new titles will be available via Xbox Game Pass starting on December 1. The service normally costs $9.99 per month (separate from Xbox Live Gold) for access to more than 100 games, but Microsoft is currently running a pretty solid Black Friday deal that cuts the cost down to $1 for the first month. New subscribers can also check it out for free for 14 days.
