And now for something completely different ... (Or at least not the Treo Pro)
Dieter got a quick look at the GSmart t600 back at CTIA, and now we're getting an in-depth review of the Gigabyte device, thanks to the folks at PhoneArena (opens in new tab).
While it's hardly a looker by today's standards - and it almost appears to be begging for a lawsuit as an iPod lookalike - the T600 has one thing going for it that no one else does - the ability to watch digital television over the air.
What else do you get?
- 520 MHz Intel XScale processor
- 256 megs ROM/64 megs RAM
- 480x640 display
- Windows Mobile 6.1 pro
- 2-MP camera with flash
And that's really about it. No 3G bands. Other than the antenna and TV capability, nothing to write hope about.
Also, Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial (opens in new tab) isn't even available in the United States, Canada, or anywhere in North or South America, for that matter, so we wouldn't recommend losing too much sleep over this one yet.
