As we get closer to October, we'll be hearing more and more about where and when HTC Titan with that massive 4.7" screen will be launching. In the latest case, it looks to be the Netherlands getting their hands on the device quite early on. Via the HTC Netherlands Facebook page, they were simply asked when was the release date and lo-behold readers were told October 4th:
Seems pretty straight forward to us, so get your money saved folks as that bad boy can be yours, soon. Of course we should point out that this is probably the carrier-branded version and not unlocked.

I don't know what it's like in the Netherlands, but the minority of phones in Germany are locked, even though you buy them on contract.
Good to know new hardware is coming soon'ish, now about pushing out the update for current phones? I don't want to wait an extra month or so for new phones to start selling before MS pushes it out to unlocked devices like mine.
The phones in The Netherlands are locked if you have a contract. You can however buy phones unlocked. The only unlocked phone I spotted so far in The Netherlands is the LG Optimus 7 at Saturn. 3 other Windows Phone 7 (English version NoDo) devices are contract only if I'm right. Also I believe the mango update for current devices will come soon, due to the fact HTC sold the most Windows Phone 7 devices and they just announces their new handsets.
All Windows Phone 7 devices in the Netherlands can be bought unlocked.I refuse buying a carrier locked phone.
Great news for the Netherlands. Hopefully, this will be the launching point for all Mango devices. I am more than happy to wait until December to see what devices will be released where in the States. But I promised myself I would have a new phone by the turn if the year, so I hope they come fast and furious starting in October.
Excellent translation on the part of Facebook there.
