Mercedes teams with Microsoft to make you more productive on the go

If you've ever wanted to be more productive on your daily commute, Microsoft and Mercedes-Benz are working together to make that happen. IFA 2016 in Berlin, it was revealed that the two companies are working together on what they call an "In Car Office," which is set to debut in Mercedes vehicles in 2017.
As reported by TechCrunch, the In Car Office will integrate with Microsoft Exchange to bring information from your work calendar, contacts and much more to your car:
Mercedes' In Car Office features will do things like pre-populate the navigation system with destination from your Exchange calendar, and also provide notifications offering to make calls using the in-car voice call system when you have upcoming meetings marked on your calendar.
What Microsoft and Mercedes-Benz are cooking up certainly sounds interesting, and it could prove to be handy for those frequently zipping between meetings. As for when we'll see this arrive, all that was revealed is that the feature will launch in Mercedes vehicles in the first half of 2017.

Cool

Not, will be android based
-
It won't be

Rubbish! All we need is for Microsoft to include mirrorlink in Windows 10 and we'll be fine!
-
Underrated comment! Seriously, what happened to the MirrorLink functionality for W10M/WP? Android and iOS is literally runs around with their own car infotainment integration for a long time and MS left in the dust. More and more car manufacturers are unfortuantely going with only either Android Auto or Apple CarPlay or both. It seems my W10M device can only be as good as having a bluetooth connection to my car with crappy sound quality of Cortana (not because Cortana voice is bad, but the protocol used is bad), and only best for GPS usage.

Good news

I am thinking about getting a new GLC 300. I don't see this feature making its way there though. Probably only s class rides.
-
I really want the new C43 AMG Coupe. In Blue.
-
M&M team up huh, good to go.
-
We need MirrorLink. For cryin' out loud, when was it announced? //Build/ 2014?
-
MS employees must be enjoying too much of their CarPlay or Android Auto. Its sad that this promise went to black hole. Seriously, even us MS community doesn't even care or forgot about this since rarely people mentioning about it.

Win10 in a Volvo would be awesome!

Sell it and buy a Mercedes ;)

Intel NUC and 7" touchscreen, got it in my Volvo 245 (lol). Full W10.
-
Volvo... They're nice... But, no Mercedes
-
Mercedes is one of these bad political influencers here in Germany, which I won't support.
-
I don't need to be more productive on the go. I want to drive my car when I'm on the go.
-
Lol.
-
By far the best cars money can buy.... I've had for 11 years. Still rollin (although it's time)....
.......
Mercedes is the "Surface" of the automobile industry. Perfection. -
And, Harley Davidson is the best overall cruiser money can buy. No equal.
-
I always see them as the iCar, but that maybe just comes down to my perception of their marketing image.
-
It would go good with my Mercedes.
