What you need to know

  • Microsoft Ignite is returning once again this November.
  • It's a virtual event taking place November 2-4.
  • Not much else is known about the event as of yet.

Microsoft has revealed that its annual Ignite tech conference will be returning this fall, beginning on November 2nd through the 4th, where you can expect the "latest product demos, Q&A with Microsoft experts, technical deep-dives, and more." (via Mary-Jo Foley)

Once again, Microsoft Ignite will be a virtual-only event, meaning Microsoft likely won't be holding any in-person conferences until 2022 at the earliest. Ignite is usually where Microsoft announces new features and products that IT pros are most interested in, including Azure, Teams, and more.

Not much else is known about the Ignite event happening this November, but we'll be sure to update you when the sessions list and schedule go live. Registration isn't open yet, but the Microsoft Ignite website already has a button that adds the event to your calendar.

Microsoft's last Ignite event took place earlier this year and was dubbed Ignite 2021, which was already a continuation of the main Ignite event that took place in the fall of 2020. Microsoft may decide to split Ignite up once again, saving some announcements for next spring as well. We'll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, what are your thoughts on Ignite? Are you looking forward to any potential announcements? Let us know in the comments.
