Microsoft Store possibly leaks Darksiders III launch on Xbox One

Darksiders III was announced many months ago, and since then we haven't heard much about the title. All we knew was that it would focus on a new protagonist and continue the story of the existing games. On a technical front, THQ Nordic made it clear that Darksiders III would support Xbox One X. Luckily, a listing appeared on the Microsoft Store which revealed more details and a possible November release date.

According to the post, Darksiders III should launch on November 27, 2018. However, this might just be a placeholder even though the date is a Tuesday and coincides with a traditional release schedule. We've reached out to THQ Nordic for comment and shall update you as soon as we receive a response.

According to TrueAchievements, there will be a few versions for preorder. The Darksiders III: Deluxe Edition and Darksiders III: Blades & Whip Edition give players 24-hour early access to the game and a discount. The Blades & Whip Edition also comes with free copies of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition and Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition.

In Darksiders III, players return to a post-apocalyptic Earth. The game is a hack-and-slash adventure where you assume the role of "Fury" in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the "Seven Deadly Sins". Fury is by far the most unpredictable and enigmatic of the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse". She has to succeed where many have failed when it comes to bringing balance to the forces that now ravage Earth.

  • It's cool that the whole franchise is on current gen for those who play on consoles.
  • I really enjoyed the first two games quite a bit, and I have 3 preordered already. I’m very much looking forward to this one, and I hope the release date proves true, although for some reason a Halloween release makes more sense to me.
  • Let's hope it is more like the first game and less like the second.
  • Meh, skipping it because they had a real chance to do something unique with a Famine or Pestilence character but instead ignored the actual Horsemen and just decided to make something up that's just a carbon copy of what we have already had.
