Minecraft is a creative sandbox game set in a 3D world developed by Mojang and Microsoft. Building, exploration, combat, crafting and resource gathering are all part of it and it's become a global sensation.

Minecraft also belongs to Microsoft now, since the Redmond giant acquired Mojang in late 2014. It's also one of the few video games on the market that can boast true cross-platform support. Besides the desktop version for Windows, there are editions for PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Windows Phone, Android, iOS, VR, OS X, Linux, and the PS Vita.

The Minecraft Bedrock Edition allows players on Windows 10, Xbox One, VR, mobile, and Nintendo Switch to all play together in connected realms. Minecraft Earth is also on the way, with Pokemon Go-like Minecraft gameplay built for modern smartphones.
