OneNote, Uber and Netflix for Windows Phone, Windows 10 Mobile get minor updates

A few big apps for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile users, OneNote, Uber and Netflix have received updates this week. However. these appear to be minor update for fixing some bugs and other issues.

Only the Uber app got an updated change log, and it stated simply, "We've made significant improvements in app stability." Neither the OneNote or Netflix apps got even that amount of attention. If you do happen to download these updates and find something that is major, feel free to let us know in the comments so we can update this post.

  • Netflix you can swipe up to hide the nav bar on Lumia 950. For me a major fix!
  • Finally. The screaming bright navbar while watching a movie annoyed the hell out of me especially as the oled screen is so perfectly black in dark scenes.
  • Hopefully Netflix fixed the constant crashes since the last update
  • It either cannot connect or crashes on my phone, since the update.
  • Feels faster...
  • Seems faster. It's seems faster...
  • Lol
  • ...and the Windows 10 app update for windows central?
  • Oh brother...
  • Where art thou?
  • Yes, agree

  • Hoping that Uber will actually give me fare split notifications now...
  • Video poker?
  • netflix is updating its supporting countries. now I can download it in Indonesia (back then I have to switch region to US first).
  • Old news.
  • Is it cool watching Netflix on a 5 inch device?
  • Nope lol
  • Yes.
  • Yes, as long as it's not on the other side of the room.
  • well, when I absolutely must, I can anywhere I want that doesn't have a whole PC setup that way I can ignore all the magnificent wonder all around me! U-U
  • Cool? No. But it works great to entertain the kids while shopping etc.
  • What would be cool is full hd support for wp. Alas, the redheaded stepchild is always last to get attention and even then it is only slight.
  • yeh its great when im cooking and move around, i just plex it across from the tv to my windows phone and continue watching in the kitchen or at the doctors, hospital, dentist, travewling to and from places.  Actually its a great potable size.
  • been getting alot of updates the last few days for alot of games and apps on my phone.
  • I really wish they would publish the Uber Partner app for Windows.
  • ^^ This.  Then I could finally be completely free of anything Google.
  • How about an update to the Windows Central app? Current one is broken and no longer showing updates!
  • A fine idea.
  • How about we go to your job and micromanage the heck outta you..? =p
  • Windows central is picking up on Microsoft habits. Broken promises and crushed dreams Inc.

  • IDK who to pity the most, those whose dreams are crushed by something as insignificant as having a new app, or the devs of said app for having to put up with the constant stream of "oh, my crushed dreams."
  • How about not making promises you don't keep? Like not promising a universal app by a certain date and them delaying for weeks? Or promising an OS and delaying for months? Ain't that difficult you know.

  • Crushed dreams?! It's an app. Dream better, mate.
  • Netflix needs to improve their app with consistency between all devices for the same user account. A watch history list would be very helpful for sharing favorites.
  • Is the Netflix on phone the new win10 universal app yet?
  • Nope.
  • so far on every platform, the last 3 things you watched are big screened and there's that whole "watch it again" strip...doesn't that count? =s
  • Netflix crashed the day before it was updated. Now it appears to be fixed.
  • And Windows Central, I need your new app now!
  • Good job. I bet they forgot all about it until you posted.
  • Lol, I hope that they push it back 1 day for each comment about its release Hehe!
  • I'll start commenting everyday of it keeps you laughing.

  • Still no transparent tile for OneNote... Really?
  • Office apps never provided transparent tiles (by default).
  • Uber Driver App is coming to Windows Phone. Be patient :)
  • Uber is getting an even bigger Los Angeles upgrade. Starting today, UberX can do LAX airport pickups! Whooop
  • Good, netflix was really acting up on my wife's Lumia 830. Trouble connecting. Hope this update helps.
  • OneNote is still slow...
  • The Netflix update messed up the CC font and it scrolls now (making it unreadable).
  • So wait, is Netflix the universal app following the new one for desktop?
  • OneNote seems faster to me.
  • Netflix had stopped working on my Lumia 636, but this update fixed that. Yay! Back in business!
  • Why doesn't OneNote have password lock like OneDrive??
  • You can already lock OneNote pages/sections using a password on the desktop office app which then flows through to the UWP app, however you cannot lock a section using only the UWP app from what I can tell. I would love to have the option of using Windows Hello to protect all of OneNote or even just certain pages/sections within OneNote right from my phone.
  • Thank you for the clarification BUT I was talking about the Mobile App, is there a way of locking the app such that it asks for a pin whenever it is clicked just like OneDrive on Mobile. All app that have saved user data should have this option even the messaging app and many others
  • Perhaps MS will get around to updating W10M OneNote to have the same features as the Android version by the time they announce the cold fusion powered Holocontactlens.
