The Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard is now available with the company's new linear optical switches. First debuted on the Huntsman Tournament Edition, these new switches offer an incredibly fast response time, which can come in handy for people who take competitive gaming seriously.

Razer says that the new switches offer its fastest actuation to date, coming in at 1.0mm. Because they're linear, there's no "bump" as you press them down. That's combined with a an infrared light beam for each key that detects the second you make a keypress. Razer also claims double the normal durability with these keys.

Apart from the new switch option, the Huntsman Elite remains the same as the previously available model. You'll get dedicated media keys, along with a multi-function digital dial. There's also full Chroma RGB lighting support here and an included wrist rest.

The Razer Huntsman Elite is available now for $200 directly from Razer with either the new red linear optical switches, or purple clicky optical switches. Apart from Razer, the keyboard will be sold exclusively at Best Buy retail stores starting on October 7.
