Skype Preview for Android, Microsoft's testing ground for new features coming to the app, is getting a handy new feature if you like to snap and share moments from your video calls. Dubbed Call Snapshots, the feature lets you easily take photos and videos from your video calls and share them.
Taking advantage of Call Snapshots is fairly straightforward. While in a video call, you can simply press the camera button in the lower-left corner of the screen to get started. From there, your snapshot will be shared in your call chat, and you can save it, forward it, post it to your highlights, or simply remove it. It's a small feature in the grand scheme of things, but if you want to quickly capture something during a call, it beats taking a screenshot and digging around to share it.
If you're game for trying Call Snapshots out, you can grab the feature with version 8.14.76.6 of the Skype Preview app now. Keep in mind that you'll need to be on Android version 6.0 or later to try Snapshots out. Assuming testing goes well, we may see the feature roll out to the full Skype app soon.
