Star Wars Battlefront II has had a troubled history. The title landed in hot water because it featured egregious microtransactions at launch. This prompted a massive backlash from world governments, many of which ended up banning loot crates altogether. Despite its problems, it still features a healthy player count and keeps on getting numerous updates. However, if you're an EA Access member, you can play the game with your subscription today. Just to go the Xbox Store page and download the title if you're a member.

On November 28, 2018, Star Wars Battlefront II got a new update with even more free content. The hero Obi-Wan Kenobi and the map Geonosis landed with this patch. Obi-Wan looks absolutely incredible in the game, and he should give General Grievous a run for his money.

In Star Wars: Battlefront II, you embark on a galaxy-spanning action experience in the acclaimed universe. Iconic characters like Darth Maul, Han Solo, and Kylo Ren make an appearance in this game, but there are also plenty of other surprises across its campaign and multiplayer modes. Over the past few months, EA has turned the game around. It no longer features pay-to-win microtransactions and lets you earn gear or other cosmetics rather easily.

EA Access gives you access to dozens of free games and discounts on all EA titles. It costs $4.99 a month, but you can save a lot through a yearly subscription. The publisher keeps on adding games to "The Vault" so the list of titles that are playable with your membership keeps on growing.
