What about worldwide operator billing support for Windows store
-
Yeah. I want operator billing in India
-
Yeah, I remember Kenya was in talks for providing carrier billing partnered with Microsoft Africa. They need to come out with support for more countries. Many of my WP friends can't buy apps due to lack of credit/debit cards. I've helped them in some cases using mine but that's not always convenient :/
Wish it comes in India soon... -
If I am correct I believe MS just signed a deal in Africa to make tha possible.
-
Yes, you are. I saw an article on that too. I'm just wishing it happens wordwide ;)
-
Indonesia operator already supported billing operator
-
The app is beautiful! Please devs who just port! Take notes and get of your a**es..and embrace your apps with Morden design!!!
-
Sorry mate, I didn't see much Modern design elements in this app. Except for the plain and colourful tile like icons. Or, is it just me ???
-
You're right. The app is total crap and just a port from iOS with edged corners.
-
Oh! Great!
-
Oh cool! I'm glad people here are starting to notice WP :D
-
They are not only in UAE they are also here in Nigeria.
-
Tried the app in Naija? How well does it work?
-
It is not working yet with developers preview so we might need to chill a little.
-
Do you know if MTN and Airtel has anything like this ?
-
Airtel yes, but I have to check if it works in the country
-
Airtel have two different apps in the marketplace but none seems to be working for Airtel Nigeria so my guess will be that those apps are for only those in the middle east.
-
Yay! I tipped them about this... :)
-
As always Etisalat is lame.. installed the app and immediately says "Etisalat UAE mobile app is currently not available for the software version installed on your device; we are working on it and will be available soon" The app is listed for both Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 on the Store. I am running 1520 with WP8.1. Go figure.
-
Seems to be only for 8.0... :(
-
True, the usual Etisalat crap. Some of the worst people I've ever seen. They have multimillion accounts yet can't afford to build a proper app for any platform. They all feel like cheap $100 DIY apps.
-
The app now available only for Windows phone 8.0 so you can edit the post and put this note :)
-
STC in saudi arabia has a good app.
-
wallah? Does STC has an app for WindowsPhone? :O
-
Yes they do.
-
In Pakistan, Mobilink is giving carrier billing, Recently Microsft has mad an agreement with mobilink to provide carrier billing to windows phone users in Pakistand and Now users can purchase apps through their credit.
-
Unfortunately we can't do that here in Saudi Arabia.
How can I know of its available -
Try asking a rep.
-
Will try it when I head to Ras Al Khaimah next time.
-
Be advised does bot work with WP 8.1 dev preview.
-
App has just been updated now works with WP8.1 including latest DP preview
