Universal NPR One app picks up support for Windows 10 Mobile

If you're a public radio fan, you'll be happy to know that the universal NPR One app, which was initially released in December as a Windows 10 desktop-only app, is now available for Windows 10 Mobile. As detailed in the original release, the universal Windows 10 revamp is designed specifically for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), and includes Cortana support and more. Here's the breakdown of NPR One's features:
- A personalized stream of NPR and local station news and stories
- Skip, rewind, pause and share
- Search for your favorite shows, stations and podcasts
- International, national, regional and local content
- A simple, intuitive interface
We're unsure of just when the update enabling Windows 10 Mobile support arrived, but it looks to be pretty recent. If you'd like to check the app out, you can grab it for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile at the link below.
Thanks for the tip, Lloyd!

Glad my tax dollars are keeping universal apps alive.....not!
-
NPR receives a very small % of its funding from tax $. This excellent app probably got written because Bill &Melinda Gates foundation are big contributors.
-
They should receive zero tax dollars. I don't care what percentage of what it is. How is it that conservative radio can survive on its own, but liberal radio needs federal funding. Then again, that really sums up the USA in a nutshell doesn't it?
-
Did you go to college or something? Only students ever ask these kinds of questions lol jk ;p
-
Yes will download
-
It's raining apps!!!

How does the Cortana support work?
-
Ask cortana ;) Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
You ask her, "What can I say?"
-
Lol... I just changed my review of the app to please make it work with W10 :)
-
Excellent, now put this on my xbox so I can pipe it through my home stereo and I'll be set.
-
Bluetooth adapters are only about $30 if you want to go that route. I did and it was worth every penny. My old Nokia 822 is basically my streaming system... Constantly paired and setup as a source.

Didn't NPR state some huge percentage of their listeners did so via PC, and that they saw a spike in usage across all their apps after W10 came out? In other words PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE AND USE W10
-
That sounds awesome!
