Viber updated with animated stickers and more

Another update is rolling out to Viber for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, and it includes some notable new additions. Perhaps the biggest part of this update is the inclusion of animated stickers, which rolled out to Viber on other platforms earlier in 2016. Otherwise, the update simply includes some new save and share options that should prove handy for some.

Here's the official rundown of what's new in Viber version 6.4:

  • Animated Stickers
  • Save your Photos and Videos to Viber folder
  • Share your Photos and Videos to any app

After the update, you'll be able to head to Viber's dedicated sticker store and pick up new animated sticker packs to start sharing with your friends. To get in on the action, be sure to grab the latest update to Viber from the Windows Store now.

Thanks to Mark and Zawthet for the tips!

  • Cool....
  • Wow didn't know this service was still active
  • I hope this update fixes the media autosave feature.  Its been around for a while, but I can't seem to get it to autosave pics/vids automatically...
  • I simply cannot use Viber until they have a backup system. Skype is automatic. WhatsApp backups pretty well. Viber is just a disaster.
  • I just want a WhatsApp that looks like Viber and is uwp...
  • In my country Cyprus, most of people are using Viber , i feel bit lucky about that. Imo is better than Skype or WhatsApp
  • And backup is still nowhere but we have animated stickers. Wow, what a luck!
  • Yes Viber is need of a serious backup ability... I like how WhatsApp finally allow you to backup to OneDrive... So nice
  • I've just updated to 6.4, but no sign of animated stickers on my Lumia 950
  • Me too, no sign of them at all...
  • Stickers? When did little elementary children start using Viber?
  • Viber is awesome. It is everything Whatsapp on Windows should be. Fast/fluid/beautiful UI, UWP app across all Windows 10 devices. Only things missing are chat backup and sharing location. I use Viber to chat with my close group of friends family. Too bad most people don't use it.
  • Sharing location is there. Swipe from the right in a chat and enable location.
  • Thanks, but that is not optimal. If I turn that on, the app looks for my location very frequently, eats battery. On demand location sharing like Whatsapp (with a map preview) is available on iOS and Android versions of Viber.
