Weather Flow for Windows 8 and Windows Phone updated and improved

Good news if you’re a fan of the wildly popular Weather Flow apps for your Windows Phone or Windows 8/RT as both apps have received updates to help make the experience bettter.

First up, the Windows Phone version gets a nice bump for all of those on 7.8 and who want a fancy double wide tile. Version 1.5 now adds the ability to have Rich or Metro double wide tiles, including minimal data or the full weather cast for the week, matching the Windows Phone 8 abilities.

The Windows RT version (v1.2) gets a similar update with its Live Tiles finally getting overhauled and offering the same Metro or Rich tile experience along with the ability to select details. In addition, the app has been made much more efficient with RT users in mind, meaning your Surface folks should give this another try.

Finally, both apps now support 10 languages including:

  • English
  • German
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Hungarian
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Dutch
  • Polish
  • Russian
  • Swedish
  • Chinese Traditional

Overall, not a bad series of updates and even we’ve started using Weather Flow on our Windows 8 and RT machines, enjoying the new look of the Tiles. You can pick up Weather Flow with a free trial here in the Windows Phone Store or give the Windows RT version a spin here in that Store ($1.99).
