Brutal Chase is a Windows Phone game that I found entertaining, in an odd sort of way. You play the role of the police chase car and it's your job to repeatedly crash into the bad guys car until they can run no more. No pit maneuvers, no peacefully pulling them over, just crash and crush them into submission.
Brutal Chase is well drawn out, has nice controls, and is an entertaining game for your Windows Phone. If you like bashing up cars that is.
The main menu for Brutal Chase has options to play the game, view the online leaderboards, access the game's options and view your achievements/medals. Options cover sound, gaming controls, set your leaderboard name and viewing the About screen.
Brutal Chase game play spans six global cities with multiple levels that are progressively unlocked. Your job is to chase down and crash the bad guys before time runs out. A damage bar will appear above your bad guy's car to let you know distinguish them from innocent bystanders. Speaking of which, you do have to avoid the innocent bystanders driving down the road and if you bump into them, your patrol car will take on damage.
Controlling your patrol car is accomplished one of two ways. You can either use tilt steering or a virtual joystick. Tilt steering works the best but you'll need to adjust (increase) the sensitivity in the Options menu. The default level is a little on the sluggish side. You also have a brake and turbo button at the bottom corners of the screen to help control your speed.
As you progress through the levels in each city, you earn points that can be used in the Brutal Chase garage to upgrade your patrol car. You can also unlock additional patrol cars to give you advantages over the bad guys.
All things considered, Brutal Chase is an entertaining game for your Windows Phone. While ad supported, the banners are positioned in such a fashion you really forget about them. The game does offer a unique (all be it fantasy) approach to pulling the bad guys over. If you like car chase games or demolition derby styled game play, Brutal Chase is a must have game for your Windows Phone.
Brutal Chase is a free, ad-supported game for your Windows Phone. You can find Brutal Chase here at the Windows Phone Marketplace.
