Yup, just a small but significant mention here: the Marketplace just hit over 3,000 apps this morning. Not bad 7 weeks out from the official launch and we suppose a great way to start off December. They only hit 2,000 about 3 weeks ago.
According to WP7AppList, there are around 3,050 programs now available, with an average of 68 being added everyday. That latter number seems to be increasing of late, something we expect to continue especially with the addition of the VB tools made available this week.
A big congrats to the Windows Phone Development Team.

If you step back and look at it, overall, compared to the other 2 OS's out there WP7 seems to be off to a better start dev and app wise. Sales maybe not as hot as the iPhone but we do have supply issues still. I also have to wonder with the rumors of how big the Jan update might be that OEMs could be holding off on shipping or even showing off newer devices till after they get the update in their hands (you have to expect MS will seed it to the OEMs first before everyone else). We could start to see a bigger flood of devices after January I think.
There may be supply issues, but I think there is a HUGE problem with how little the carriers promote the phone, especially in stores. Walk into any store and see how long it takes to find the WP7. US launch day was underwhelming at best. I visited multiple stores to see the phone before buying. Only one had a somewhat prominent Microsoft display with a video. All the rest had the phone hidden among the rest of the generic phone displays. I didn't expect fireworks and confetti, but come on!
Thanks for the link to WP7AppList! Minor correction: The number of apps updated per day is about 70, but the number added per day is about 40.
Check it out: this morning's stats on the site say, "In the last 24 hours, 84 apps were updated and 95 were added." It would be really cool if the site included a graph of all their stats, so we could look back at how Marketplace has grown over time.
That is a great news. Very good gadget to visit. Hope it will be liked by all. Natura Cleanse
