WP7 Video: HTC HD7 boot time

The HTC HD7 is heading to T-Mobile and we were able to spend a little hands-on time with the Windows Phone 7 device during the Windows Phone 7 Launch.

It's an impressive phone with an impressive boot time. Helped by the 1ghz processor, the HD7 takes about twenty seconds to boot. That's lightning fast compared to some Windows Phones running Windows Mobile.

  • Creepy eyeball lamp reflection is creeping me out.
  • 28 seconds from the time he let go of the button till the start screen came up, excellent.
  • It was very, very bright in that room...reflections everywhere. For the record, those are my feet in the background.
  • I'm taking a guess here but all the WP7 devices should be around the same speed when booting, 20-30sec give or take. Unless some OEM totally crapped on their hardware drivers, in which case, god help us. More boot speed tests or some form of benchmarks (if you can do them) would be nice to see since the hardware is the same, it's all about drivers and software.
