Updated August 30, 2019: Xbox Live is now back up and running after an outage that lasted a little over an hour, according to the Xbox Live Status page. The original story follows.
If you've hit a snag using your Xbox One today, you're not alone. Xbox Live is down right now, causing issues with signing in, managing your account, and more.
Microsoft has acknowledged the issue (opens in new tab) on the Xbox Live Status page, stating:
Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.
This is the second Xbox Live outage this week. With the service down, online games and apps like Plex and Amazon Video, making it a frustrating experience for gamers and cord cutters alike.
We'll update this post with more information as it becomes available or when the issue is resolved.
