Intel, the common name for Intel Corporation, was founded in July 1968, and is currently headquartered in Santa Clara, California. The company, which was founded by Robery Noyce and Gordon Moore, specializes in chip manufacturing for a variety of products, like computers mobile phones and others. While the company was known by other manufacturers, it was the 1990s "Intel Inside" campaign that turned it into a household brand name.
From computer processors to flash memory, graphics chips and more, Intel is well-known in the computer space. In June 2011, Intel introduced its first Pentium mobile processor based on the Sandy Bridge core. Intel has put chips inside other smartphones since, but its main focus remains on computers.
