It's horror season, and what better way to celebrate that than with some games that will make you scream! However, it is also apparently re-mastered edition season as two of our games are re-releases of last gen games. First up this week, we have zombies with the first release of The Walking Dead: Season One on Xbox One. Secondly, there is The Evil Within from Bethesda Softworks is our other big game this week which is sure to give you nightmares after playing alone and in the dark. Lastly, we ditch the horror scene for a more action oriented game with Sleeping Dogs: Definitive edition. Continue reading to see which ones are worth the buy.

This week, the Xbox One and 360 got their most frightening game since Outlast. That would be Alien: Isolation. And you might think that after getting chased around by an Alien, that horror fans would literally be frightened to death and no longer able to consume future horror games.

That would be silly, though!

October is the month of scares, so every horror fan owes it to him or herself to stay alive at least until Halloween. You might as well play all the scary games you can until then, or your heart gives out. Next week will bring us just the perfect follow-up game – The Evil Within from Bethesda. Read on for the creepy details and a look at the game's last trailer before launch.

Next month will be a landmark time for horror games. Sega and the Creative Assembly have Alien: Isolation, a game inspired by the first Alien film, on the way on October 7. Just one week later, Bethesda and Tango Software will unleashed The Evil Within, the long-awaited return to horror from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. Both games are due out on Xbox One and 360, so our last-gen brothers need not miss out on the scares.

With both games drawing near, the publishers are keeping them in the spotlight with new information and trailers. Alien: Isolation will be getting post-launch DLC for six months in the form of challenging new Survivor mode missions, we recently found out. As for The Evil Within, I recently had the opportunity to play the game and experience its disturbing atmosphere. Continue reading for detailed impressions and a look at both games' new trailers!

We’re still pumped for this week’s new Xbox One releases (Rayman Legends and Strider), but that doesn’t mean more Xbox game news isn’t welcome. Always look to the future, right?

That future will be brighter in May. Bethesda has officially announced that Wolfenstein: The New Order will debut on Xbox One, 360, and other consoles on May 20 in North America and May 23 in Europe. As if the impending return of Wolfenstein wasn’t news enough, preorders of The New Order will also include beta access to the new Doom!

E3 2013 kept us all very busy last week, and this week we still have a few more games to discuss with you. The Xbox One lineup looks like it will cater to fans of a variety of genres – not just first-person shooters. Horror games should be especially well represented. The console launches with Dead Rising 3, an exclusive title from Capcom and Microsoft. The previous series entries all appeared on Xbox 360, with a port of the first game showing up on the Wii and both 2 and Off the Record gracing the Playstation 3 as well.

Shortly after launch we should also see D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die from Hidetaka Suehiro (creator of Deadly Premonition) and Microsoft.  D4 will be a thriller/mystery released via downloadable episodes. And in 2014, Japanese developer Tango Gameworks will team up with publishing giant Bethesda to release a pure horror game The Evil Within at retail.
