Last week the latest Xbox Windows Phone game, Kingdoms & Lords, started making its rounds to a few select markets. It would appear the soft release is no more and the new Windows Phone 8 game is now available worldwide.

Kingdoms & Lords is a medieval simulation game where you build up your kingdom, cultivate crops and livestock, train your military, battle a Dark King and conquer neighboring lands.

Rovio has today announced a new title in the Angry Birds series. The popular company has been releasing top-rated games for multiple platforms and just like the previous Angry Birds Star Wars instalment, Angry Birds Go! will launch across the board.

Confirmed on Twitter, Windows Phone owners will be able to download and enjoy the new take on the Angry Birds game. So, what's it all about and should you be interested? Well, it's not a classic Angry Birds game, but instead a take on the racing genre. Think Mario Kart meets Angry Birds.

We all have our favorite "go to" Windows Phone games for when we need to waste a little time. Time when you have ten minutes before quitting time and the only other option is to count paper clips. Times when you're waiting in line at the DMV to get your tag renewed, in the waiting room at the doctors or waiting for your take-out order to be ready at the restaurant where time seems to be at a stand still.

There are plenty of games in the Windows Phone Store that will keep you entertained and help the time pass by quicker. The Xbox Windows Phone game Yahtzee is one such game.

Not only do you have the classic game of Yahtzee to keep you busy but there are four other variations of the game to play as well as an adventure mode. There's plenty of gaming involved with Yahtzee, some room for improvement, and overall it's an appealing game for your Windows Phone.

As the weeks stretched on, we became increasingly worried about the future of Xbox games on Windows Phone. The severity of the drought prompted me to write our seven-part “How Microsoft can save Xbox games for Windows Phone” series, which all Windows Phone gamers still need to read.

In February, Skulls of the Shogun basically broke the drought, though the following week there was no new release. But since then, we’ve seen a steady release of Xbox games for Windows Phone 7 and 8 from major publishers like Gameloft, Rovio, and Ubisoft. It looked like the days of drought were behind us.

Then last week we got no new Xbox release. It stung, but maybe this week would be different. Well, as far as we can tell, there is no new Xbox game this week either. Could this be the start of a new drought?
