Here's how Uber will work with Outlook

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella previewed the Uber add-in for Outlook during his keynote at Build 2015. You can have a closer look at how it works with a video published by Uber. With the Uber add-in for Outlook, you can set an Uber ride reminder for any calendar event. When it's time to leave for your event, Uber will send you a notification on your device. Go watch the short video.

When you act on the notification, the Uber app opens up with the destination already set. You just need confirm your request. The destination information is grabbed from your Outlook appointment.

To set up the Uber Ride Reminder, you'll need to select it from Apps section while creating an Outlook event. The Uber add-in then requests your phone number attached to your Uber account. If you haven't tried Uber yet, your first ride is free up to $20.

The Uber add-in for Outlook is rolling out later this summer and we can't wait to use it! How do you feel about it? Let us know in the comments!
