The 6 story Windows Phone time lapse build [Video]

You may have noticed a giant Windows Phone being erected (opens in new tab) at Herald Square while walking past, or you will have read about it here on our website. If you're not aware of what's going on, then where have you been? Microsoft has put up the 6 story Windows Phone, which will show off features and will act like a giant tease for today's big announcement (opens in new tab), but unfortunately we doubt this model will be available on contract. In the above video, we can see a time lapse of this mammoth (Titan if you will) of a thing being assembled.

Our Daniel Rubino will be at the event (as well as the party afterwards), so be sure to pop by and say hello should you be attending.

Thanks @TheWeeBearUK (opens in new tab) for the heads up!

  • I want to see some video of that baby in action! haha
  • So if we can't buy it on contract, what is the retail price? Or are you talking only about this huge monstrosity? LOL
  • $1 million I would assume, but it's only on AT&T and has no 4G capability. Also, no FF camera, which would suck :-P
  • The building to the side suggests that it's only 3 storey!
  • Going to NY on wednesday, I hope it will still be up then!
  • OK, no more complaining about lack of advertising. I'm no marketing genius (thank heavens), but that looks impressive to me.
