Amazon is offering a year of Prime for just £59

Amazon has rolled out a promotion to celebrate the naming of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond's new motor show, called The Grand Tour. Available until May 16, this promotion sees the cost of Amazon Prime slashed to just £59 for the year (opens in new tab). This is a great price for the amount of benefits included, not to mention if you were a massive Top Gear fan and will be checking out the new show on Amazon.

As highlighted by Hot UK Deals, this deal is only for the first year only and is open to those who aren't already members. As well as access to Amazon's on-demand video streaming service, for the £59 you'll also unlock unlimited next-day deliveries, Prime Music, eBooks, early access to Lightning Deals, and more.

Today is the last day for you to take advantage of this promotion!

  • Interesting. Apparently the only time that a service is considerably cheaper in Germany. Here a prime membership (including video, music, kindle ebooks and shipments) costs only regularly 49€ per year. That's about $55 or £40. For Students it's even cheaper than that: 24€
  • 14 US bucks off its regular price, round numbers. My family uses the hell of out Amazon and its Amazon Music ain't half bad. With storage and movies, not a bad deal.
  • Can we in the USA claim this deal or is it region locked?
  • You can, but free shipping will only apply to orders from (and to) the UK, similarly prime video would only apply to the UK content, streaming within the UK (or elsewhere via a vpn). Music works across regions I believe amazon drive also, but if you've ever used the drive in the US earlier you'd be locked to that still unless you call support. • Paid this price last time, but if I can't get it at that price when I come to renew, I won't be renewing. It's not worth £79 per year, not to me at least. We still use Netflix far more in my household, the next day free delivery is nice, but I'm not sure I buy enough to justify it.
  • Stop speaking with my voice
  • Just get us an effing amazon prime app!
  • Agree....a nice UWP app which allows you to watch content offline too
  • Would've kept it but their Canadian service lacks alot of the other services(available in US) to make it worthy of the $100. Lucky me I happened to have seen my bill that I still qualified for a refund
