Next Stop is a strategy game for Windows 8 that has you re-building a dilapidated railroad line and defend it against a bank takeover.
You spend your days repairing and building up the railroad as well as building up the communities that line the railway's path. The Windows 8 game normally runs $6.99 but for the next twenty-four hours, you can download Next Stop free through myAppFree.
Next Stop offers players forty missions to tackle on their way to rebuild the railroad and save it from being taken over by the bank. Missions mainly involves repair or rebuilding tasks such as repairing railroad bridges, depots and other structures the rail system depends on for success.
You will need to build resources to conduct the repairs, such as cutting down trees to build up your lumber resources and gifts will appear to help you along the way as well. If you prefer more of a casual pace with your Windows 8 gaming, you can turn the game timer off from the game's main menu (Select Mode option).
In just tinkering with Next Stop over the past few hours, it comes across as a challenging, task oriented strategy game for Windows 8. Graphics are well drawn up and the game plays nicely from a mini-tablet.
